I will be there!

That's probably the first time in over 10 years that truck had a trailer attached. I really have to make a new Save the General update video. So happy it's getting the attention it deserves.

JTF, Thanks for the pictures, a big help in trying to remember all the great trucks. Nice to meet you and your wife.
Same to you. Your B is beautiful. I hope you don't mind me opening the door to grab a picture. That's a darn nice truck. I should be at the Macktoberfest and Gerharts too.

OK guys, I wound up taking around 350 pictures of the show over the weekend and uploaded them to my Photobucket account. Feel free to check them out. I think everyone was in agreement that the 1926 Mack Touring Coach was by far the coolest and nicest truck in attendance. Also the group

Yes, show some interior pictures of that shed. It looks like the perfect camping combo.

I took a boat load of pictures Friday and Saturday. I have to get them off my camera and reduce the size so I can upload them to my photobucket account and I'll post them hopefully tomorrow. Good to see everyone in person and put some faves to names.
Now i have the itch to find myself another truck...

Are you going to have this at Macungie this weekend?

The wife and I will be rolling in tomorrow before noon. No trucks to bring this year... like every year. See you all there!

I have to say it again. I'm truly impressed and happy that you are the new caretaker of the General. I've been collecting some of your pictures and will do a new web update on my Save the General video series on YouTube next week. It will be two part. First when you bought it and some of the initial tear down shots, then a second video with the build up. When you are all done I'd love to come visit you in NY and do a full of finished video of the truck as well. And of course see it in person.

I am loving this. I can't wait to see it without the masking and the wheels and polished tanks

My intention was General tires for it as well!

That's really strange about the best paving. Maybe they did that until they painted it their fleet colors. Also the headlights that were on the old blue hood (and turn signal bulbs) were new so put them in the smurf hood when you are done painting.

I dig turn outs but I vote miters. Flappers are neat but ting ting ting ting ting gets old fast

Original color was Red. It was painted white next. Yellow was from a construction company called Johnson Bros in NJ. Blue was Best Paving out of Toms River NJ.

Now I want a 1936 Mack CW bus for a tour vehicle. That thing is slick!

I'm am seriously thinking about driving up to you to do a Save the General video when you are done.

I had seen the post on FB with the pictures. Pretty scary stuff but you are lucky no one was seriously hurt.

The bison that was at Macungie ran the exhaust pipes under the cab not behind it. There's room.

I just said to my wife after showing her these pictures "you know, Chris has three things I didn't have"
1. A place to work on it
2. The right equipment to work on it
3. The skills to work on it
I'm excited to see the progress.

Holy crap! You've taken this to the next level. Makes me happy.
Paul - the back of the hood where it meets the cowl was chewed up from people letting it slam down on the cowl. I drove to MA to get that green hood two years ago. The back yard looks weird with it gone now. I wanted to use it for a picnic table one 4th of July.

I forgot to mention the door handle was there. When I cleaned out all the junk from the cab almost three years ago I found it and tucked it under the seat so I don't lose it. Then I completely forgot about having it. I'm am thrilled you are taking care of the door issues. And quite impressed with your fab skills too. How did you make out with the drivers latch? I had a good feeling I was handing it over to the right guy.
You know, I may have to drive up to you to see it all fixed up. As I mentioned to you and your buddy you should show it at Macungie in June. It doesn't make a difference if it's painted or not. Everything and everyone is welcome.
