  1. Brutis, When did you hear about this auction, I think I would have went, about 90 minutes from me?
  2. He wouldn't tell me, guess I asked too many questions like a pain in the ass, LOL Had a Maxidyne Engine with 5 and low in it, engine brake and 12:24 tires, etc
  3. 12K 1961 12:24 tires Had a 673 Maxidyne Engine in it with 6 speed trans, engine brake
  4. Hi Brutis, Auction is over, everything went, the B81 was sold.............Paul
  5. Hi Brutis, Isnt that going for auction today in Providence , RI?
  6. Thats going to be one nice set-up. If you keep the 85 dump they would make a good pair sitting side by side.
  7. Thats going to be one heavy set up, does it have the quad box in it? Will you be putting 14:24 tires on it? What would be cool is to put a Garwood boom on it like those Federal Air Force wreckers had during the war also.
  8. WOW, Thats the number 2 truck? I thought you were going to keep it a dump truck? Looks different from the side view in the field.
  9. OH OK Dan, Thanks, I wonder where it was going?
  10. Hi RFCD, I knew you were right, even though I have capability to bend 1/2" steel plate 14 feet long, the labor can kill the whole deal. As far as the LI B81 with the DM body on it, I bought it for the very reason of the cab protector, didn't care if the rest of the truck was junk, LOL. Everyone tells me same thing about that cab shield and tell me I could have had one made cheaper than buying the whole truck and could sit in a chair and looked at it. My standard answer is that it never occured to me to do that, LOL
  11. Is it possible this is an ex Rizzo truck?
  12. Hi j, Yes you're right. Even building it with a friend, between his shop and mine, labor and material would be in the 10 to 15 grand range just for the body mounted on the present subframe and lift.
  13. LOL, I know Dan, its even bigger than the body on my Ippolito B81 which isn't too shabby either
  14. Let me ask you guys, is this Bristol Donald body big enough on my B81?[
  15. Thanks Rob, Jake, I believe its a Donovan Body, out of Londonderry, NH Those Rizzo trucks looked like what a dump truck should look like. Also, DM897, can't go forward too far, but I will be sending a lowbed up to pick it up next week....Paul
  16. Yes, Same wheelbase I believe. Where are they located, do you know?
  17. Jake, I've been wondering what it would cost me to build one of those bodies for mine, very tempted to do it
  18. Jake, just look at the size of those bodies on a short wheelbase......Paul
  19. Yes, They are beautiful trucks, can't understand why they aren't built anymore. Check these two NYC DM's, fully loaded tires aren't even squating. Ive been waiting some time for one of these, will buy sight unseen if I come across one.
  20. Thanks jake, Similiar to ones I used to own.......Paul
  21. Hi Jim, Haven't had the truck moved yet, but it was built in 1986 and sold in 1987 with the 300+ Engine, galvanized cab, 5 speed w/ low 6th, I believe heavy rears, new brake pads and drums, single telescoping piston for body, spare wheels and parts, etc. It was garaged first 10 years when bought, then another 8 with second owner, now im #4 owner. ...Paul
