  1. And to the topic of downtime guys myself and another guy where we haul coal we are off road never touch pavement! We have 7 2012 gu713’s 65000 rears all 505’s between us plus my RD’s if you add up all down time “GU713’s” from new it would probably be 30% + range. If not for our RD800’s I would have gone broke never again will I own a Mack truck especially for off road use but don’t think ever buy one for anything again they care less for their customers!! But please check your egr cooler that at this point fixed mine new one not there yet but just cleaning best we could gave back 75% power and stopped the quivering on pulls, felt like was going to shake itself apart at the end of problem we were running it because we have to and try to figure out problem but got so bad we had to just park it!
  2. I am having same problem out of my 2012 GU713, MP8 505 Maxidyne, runs good till comes up to temp then first hill falls on its face, changed turbo at a sum of 4300.00 for pos turbo, tech told me turbo for sure well not turbo money wasted. I pulled the egr cooler flushed at car wash truck got back about 75% power on hill always did good on flat loaded or empty hot or cold.... so going to replace egr cooler but dealer quoted 1600.00 plus tax and shipment charges... thanks a million WorldWide equipment what a joke for dealer!! Found online for 1000.00 total with shipping. So long rant short check egr cooler and egr valve.. OH by the way downtime is a way of life if u buy new Mack equipment I have owned Mack my entire life as well as my father.... I would have never said this of my RD800’s but the new Mack equipment is Junk pure Junk.... they are rags, will not hold together in the coal or oil fields Mack Trucks and WorlWide equipment Inc. sold us equipment for a job they knew these trucks weren’t designed to do. THANK YOU Mack Trucks for lying to us!
  3. I run 2012 granites off road these systems are pure JUNK!!! Delete the shat! OTR performance or have genesis tune in NJ reprogram the ECM to turn systems off! Yes cost 2000.00-3000.00 bucks but figure def fluid for year mine were at least 2 times week asking for parked regen at least 3.5hrs down time per week. So figure it all up and I was loosing approx $25,000.00 per yr per truck version no system how do they expect small Indy to survive they don’t give a shit as long as you buy there parts it’s a real shame!
  4. (FMI 7) (sao stn 4752) is the engine fault code year: 2012 model: GU713
  5. We haul on average 45+ tons a trip that's net on our 65,00 lb rear Macks Were making on average 15 trips daily at that tonnage Our gross weights are around 130,000 - 135,000lbs
  6. Quick question seem there are some Mack employees here? The truly heavy spec truck 65,000 rears and 23,000 pound front.. we ran RD888sx's for years the granite has taken its place but rumor at local WorldWide Equipment dealer Mack is possibly planing a replacement for the RD possibly without the DPF for us to use off road here in the coal fields is that possible/any truth ?????
  7. 505m 18 speed trans 8.27 gears 52mph on the highway and our weights are always a total of 125,000 gross truck plus load ...... hauling that black gold !!!!! truck tare weight is 40,000 thats a 85,000 pound load on average some quite higher some lower but 42 ton average does the job with power to spare and we have no flat roads with lots of grades too 12%
  8. Pikeville Ky Trucks work in West Virginia I have 91 Rd888sx also I had Dm600 60 boggie it got stole / stripped we found it at Jenkins Ky. This was the truck I always drove when I was/am on the job loved this little truck!! RIP!!!
  9. roadranger really because that's the way they are if you've ever looked for heavy spec truck you get what they have or wait for the next build run usually next model year if even then!! worldwide is the only place you'll find these trucks for the most part and that's at the p,burg ky or the huntington wva stores only mainly you choose from what they have at lot!! they had when I took delivery 5 more of the red I wanted black they next week they got 4 black in on the lot they were all same as my truck all were sister trucks with series vin numbers!!
  10. this is the newest of my stable of dogs!! MP8 505m Maxidyne, 18 speed roadranger, 60 boggie camelbacks mack w/ 8.27 gears.
