My Own Little "week In Review"

Well I was gonna start a new blog thursday, but was tired after work. Was pretty the first 2 days this week and busy then it started raining wednesday morning. Tempertures started dropping stayed in the high 50s and low 60's. Thursday was an interesting day had to stay over for a while to unload a truck with osb board, I helped the driver unstrap and untarp, then used the forklift to haul his tarps and straps to the other side, What can I say I'm a friend of the american trucker. They was gonna make the driver stay there all night till in the morning, but i talked them out of it. Other than that it was an alright week though, my boots are still soaked from all the rain. Kinda cool working there though, because the guy that drives the tandem GMC worked with dad back in the day. My first day there I knew him from somewhere, but couldn't remember where it was now we talk about back in our TCT days. Even though I was just 13 at the time I remember alot. Anyways I'm gonna go spend some time with my family. Catch you guys on the flip side......I Must Be Off.......

that was mighty nice of you Joe,i'm sure that driver appreciated it. I had a load of paneling one time with stops in Covington, Pearisburg, and Dublin,Va. Got to the last stop in Dublin a little before 5 o'clock at a Lowes store and they said "sorry,we'll get you in the morning" but one guy said "i'll unload him,it's only a partial load, and I was just gonna go home and shoot some basketball anyway". Never did forget that, and it was years ago.

He told me he appreciated it alot, he was supposed to be there around 5:00 but got held up in alot of traffic. He called around 5:35 and said he was 20 miles away. After he got there he was gonna leave the trailer, I told him no need I'll help ya'. I told him about a fiend of mine in virginia does this all the time and don't get any help. Always nice to help a fellow driver though. Not his fault it's just what happens.

:thumb: I pull flatbed myself and I wanted to thank you myself for helping out a fellow flatbedder. We waist a heap of time every week waiting to load and unload so when I hear about someone helping one of us out I jump with joy. Keep up the good work. :dwave::clap:

I appreciate it Mackdaddy. Me and Tater "the guy that worked with dad" always make sure the drivers are took care of, and that they get unloaded and all the help they need. We know how it is and glad to help out all we can. If you ever get any lumber going to Potters home center of jacksboro, tn. you better take it...lol Have a good one..

Wish I could get a load going there Joe-tell the boss to check out Blue Ridge Lumber in Moneta,Va. for some treated lumber...or is it Blue Ridge Wood? It's Blue Ridge something-or-other anyway. Guess I should pay more attention-i've hauled about 8,000 loads out of there, mostly to 84 Lumber around Oh. and Pa.
