n2deep Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 My R-600 has 4 six volt batteries, 2 on each side wired + to - then a + to the ground on the starter and - to the + starter post. same on each side. Can I just use two twelve volt batteries and if so will it still be + ground. Hope this post isn't as confusing to read as it was to write. Thanks. terry Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 Each set on either side are wired in series to make the two 6's into 12 volt, just put in a heavy duty 12 volt battery and hook the posts up to the cables that run out of the battery box the same way. terry Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
