Ok, I need some assistance getting the proper part number for the exhaust clamp on my 300.

It is 4 7/16" diameter flange.

Mack turbo 631GC5134P4X.

Dealership are pretty worthless so I haven't even tried there.  I googled V band clamps but couldn't come up with a chart of sizes.  Of course the input side is a different size so I can't go off of that.

I've seen both Marmon and Marman listed.  More then one person has a spelling for it.

I found a 4.5" clamp but from the runaround I went through on the 237 exhaust clamp 10 yrs ago, there are different widths of taper??  Not universal one size fits all.  Or is it??

I went through this with Tip turbine clamp.  Found manufacturer but they don't make clamps anymore.  The clamp on the intake side of turbo has R.G. Ray on it.  Lots of variations.

I don't have a VIN to work with, that's my problem.  When I installed the 237 someone here gave me a VIN and that helped with working on it.

I need a VIN from a 300+ truck.

I have a VIN when I ordered the steering box but not sure that was a 300+ truck.  Or how generic is the exhaust clamp between motors?  It is smaller then the 237 clamp but it had a cast downpipe that isn't on this engine.

Thanks.

I asked another Mack guy and he said my 237 clamp should fit.  But, mine was from a fire engine(I think) and has a cast iron downpipe that slips into the turbo.  I don't think it is the same as a typical truck outlet like on the 300.  It has a band clamp down below picture.
