Question

I have a 2001 CH613 with an e-7 400

around 800k on engine thar doesnt smoke and doesnt have excessive blow by.  I run AG commodities every day up and down hilly terrain in the northeast.

im running 85-90k about 4-500 miles per day and I’d like more power

dieseltuner out of Tennessee says he can reprogram my ECM to 525hp with no mechanical upgrades needed.

is this realistic and has anyone here done that?

thanks, Dan

So... to solve any confusion.. a picture of the right side of the engine will define what he has..  valve cover data plate wouldnt hurt either..

sorry should have clarified to start. No it’s an Australian truck, we never got the EGR and VGT version over here I don’t think, also never got much of aftermarket gear either hence why I was thinking bout the bigger standard injectors. It’s good on the flat country but once we get up in the hills around eastern Victora just that little extra might save me going back into the bottom box. Defiantly just CCRS

Well I went back to the top. I just realized the truck pictured is not youre truck. as far as ecm programming, 75% percent of my knowledge is gone. now what I have done is install bigger injectors and turbo, and if you have a restrictive exhaust manifold, (which I believe you do not have), you can put the E-Tech exh. manifold on it.  otherwise,  those 2 items will give it a kick. maybe use a wastegate turbo like whats on a series 60 Detroit, and plumb a boost line from the intake to the wastegate actuator.
