I haven't had a chance to check with dealer yet. The hinge issue just came to light a couple days ago. I think the problem is more the fiberglass deteriorating where the hood hinges are attached. The metal hinge parts seem ok. Maybe replace "tie rod" ends for good measure. Talked to a friend who has a SL, and he said he had to have his reworked at the hinge connections.
