You may want to check places like ebay for a Midliner service manual which will be beneficial for other repair work also. Since you are dealing with a hacked wiring harness, I would probably go old school with wiring a low air switch and buzzer. You could get your power right from the battery if needed because with a bad harness, I am sure your are disconnecting your batteries.
