Jerry Weller Posted June 11, 2016 Share Posted June 11, 2016 Restoring 78 cruiseliner 285 /676 ,engine bad,have e6 250 from 81 r model I want to use,inter cooler mounted on radiator which won't fit behind grill on cruiseliner,can I convert to tip turbine style intercooler off 285to the 250 engine? You need to check and see if the 250 is a Maxidyne or not, if not you may need a transmission with more gears or else transfer the pump and such from the 285 Maxidyne. Might work best to use just the 250 long block and dress it with the 285s pump, turbos, etc..
