Doug Maney Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 My D-42 is one of 601 D-42's built. It isn't a prototype. D's were built in two styles, Mine is the second styling with the extra emblems and trim, the first styling resembled an MB from later years with a square grille. Quote Interested in Old Trucks? Doug Maney Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 Yes, all D models were gas, updraft carb, Magnadynes. D-20, D-30, D-42 and D-44 were all powered by the tiny little 6 cylinder gas job. The strangest one that I have seen is a D-44, tanker, camel-back, 44,000# rears with a Quadruplex. I can't imagine driving around a town built on a sidehill. Quote Interested in Old Trucks?
