Rockatansky Posted March 25, 2008 Share Posted March 25, 2008 HI!Just wondering when Mack started painting the frames and axles red, why red instead of, say, yellow and when and why did it fall out of favor for black.A friends R model flatbed tow truck had the red frame and running gear and it made finding leaks or trouble a snap.I've only seen a few Brand X rigs with red frames and they all looked like after market paint jobs IIRC. I don't know if or how to resize?Anyway, I took some pics of a bunch of new Granites they brought in with the cab, chassis and fuel tanks all painted bright red. I thought they looked real sharp.
