R vs RW-700 questions?

Recommended Posts

Could you buy an R/RD-700 when the RW Superliner's were made,or did they stop making them when the RW came out?

Sure, the R-700 series was produced thru 1985. Thus, the R-700 was available during both the Mack Western (Hayward production) RWL/RWS era as well as the early part of the (Macungie production) RWI era.

Interesting, didn't know they made them that late!As for the RW's,were all hood length's the same?

Ryder Truck Rental, for example, operated quite a few with Cummins power, and a few with Caterpillars.

The Super-Liners all had the same hood length (unlike the GMC General).
