wmmack1952 Posted September 1, 2013 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Hey guys need help, I have a1971 dm 600 that has a wet clutch air activated system in it, parked the truck 5 years ago was running fine, started it up last week for first time in 5 years can't get it to go in gear, I can get it to go in gear if I force it but the truck wants to move, tried to adjust clutch linkage on side of bell housing, need to know how to adjust that clutch , also what kind of oil goes in it, would really appreciate some help, thanks guys Bill Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
slpwlker Posted September 1, 2013 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Sounds like it is probably stuck. If you got the room push the pedal and fire it up in gear or bump the starter. should break free. 39 Baby Mack Posted September 1, 2013 Share Posted September 1, 2013 This sounds like a Mack "Dynamax" clutch like the ones United Parcel used to use.Don't really know that much about them, think they used A.T.F. fluid.The diaphram that actuates the clutch is a standard size brake diaphram but is made out of a special material that won't be attacked by the oil in the clutch housing.Ron 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
