Mainer
Hi, I removed the rear rear carrier yesterday from my CL. I made a wrench to get the front inside bolt behind the side cover. It worked fair. Does anybody know where I get the proper wrench without spending a fortune? Thanks

Mainer
Thanks for the reply. I am new to online forums, but I am a big fan of Mack Trucks and found your forum this morning. The bolt is in the 92 carrier under the input shaft. A socket will not fit.
terry
I have taken a long box end wrench, cut close to one end and welded it in a L shape. Worked pretty good. terry
rsb502
oh I thought you meant the one inside, I just use a wrench on that one with another on it for leverage. Mainer
Terry, That is what I did to get it out. I thought there must be a wrench made for it. Thanks, Shawn
rsb502
I have a closed end that has more angle on it than a std wrench and it fits, always thaught about making kindof a reverse distributor wrench that came out about 1.5 to 2" from the closed end then turned down a couple inches then back straight out kindof s shaped.
