Dumping Rear Air System For Unloading

Recommended Posts

i HAVE A 2003 Vision converted to a 3600 gal septic tank Hauler. I have the rear air ride and want to dump out the air when unloading so the rear discharge would be the lowest point. I thought about using 2 3/8 smc air valves one to dump the air and the other to stop the supply comming in so I dont lose main preassure. Im not sure if the smc valve are continuouse power as the one would have to stay open when the truck is moving. aslo have the trailer service supply still hooked up in cab but obviously no trailer. is there a way to work this valve to work it? not sur the best way to go but need to do it soon. Thanks Will

I'm really surprised that it doesn't already have an air ride dump valve.

Every air ride truck or tractor I've ever been around had one.

If it doese I have not found it and I had the truck for a year. I added the load gauge and havent found any dump valves. I have 2 SMC electric 600psi air valves that I could use. One on the bags and one on the supply in front of the automatic levelers. Flip a switch one opens one closes and BAM. But waiting for SMC to let me know if there valves are continuouse duty and capable of being supplied with electricity for a 12 hour period since they are closed valves and during normal op I need the supply line to stay open for normal driving. Might just take it to Mack and have them fix it but last time It was there The left 2 slack adjusters off and didnt tighten my wheels.
