stev Posted June 18, 2011 Share Posted June 18, 2011 I was just looking at an R model tractor with the exhaust below the frame in front of the rear wheels. My dump is like this, which makes sense to me, since it seems like the dump body can be slightly larger.What is the benefit to a tractor configured this way opposed to the exhaust running up behind the cab, as I usually see on tractors?Thanx . . . . . . Lmackattack Posted June 19, 2011 Share Posted June 19, 2011 Some of the dump trucks had that big rock gard overhanging the cab. Had to have a short 90 or weed burner. single drive Posted June 19, 2011 Share Posted June 19, 2011 The only benefit i can see from the weed burner is that in some cases it can b a bit lighter.
