Give him time and he will beat them all.Notice the drop from Ike to JFK. Ike wore a top hat all the time, kept the hatters in Danbury, CT happy and working. JFK did not and hatting industry went out.Hell, people were'nt all that happy with Reagan by the chartBut if you look at the worst period recorded, 1980, we had a Democrat President (Carter, 1977-1980) as well as two Democrat controlled Congresses (1977-1978 and again 1979-1980). According to the chart Congress was controlled by Democrats in both houses from 1955-1982, which time period I believe encompasses all of the largest increases in the index.
