I think we have already seen a pic...

You can send the photo of the truck to me at dmaney@comcast.net. This is done mainly to keep newer trucks from entering the show field that the driver is just looking for a place to park. We make sure to give special consideration to brands or models that are no longer in production.
As far as weapons in the park, I am not aware of any restrictions. I can't say I have ever seen anyone carrying but I would not be surprised if there are numerous firearms on the property during the ATCA National Meet. I can't recall seeing any signs notifying visitors that weapons are not permitted and I just reviewed the website and I didn't see it mentioned anywhere.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Doug

Antique trucks are considered 25 years or older. If you have a newer truck you can send by email a photo and we will review it and let you know if it would be able to be shown in the special interest area as well.

One suggestion for him, SCANDIA. He can have all he wants from the USA. He can even find them in other countries...

Golf carts and similar vehicles are allowed at the ATCA National Meet. They must be registered at the registration booth. We require a cell number so that if the cart gets parked somewhere where it should not be, we can track you down.
There is trailer parking for transport trailers and extremely limited parking for combinations. This year the Combination area will be restricted more so than in the past due to the large number of transport trailers filling it up.

I have three possibilities for the show...(ranked in order of desire!)
Pull the camper with the Superdog and stay Friday and Saturday
Bring the Superdog Saturday Morning and leave Saturday night
Pull the camper with the pickup and stay Friday and Saturday
And if the camper comes, a rental golf cart if I can find one! I have five or six hundered Superliner pictures to take!
Depends mostly on if I get a hitch built and tested on the Mack in time! I hate to miss out on dinner Friday night! The ATCA puts on a hell of a feast...if you plan to eat let Doug know!!!!!! I guess last year 20 people registered for dinner Friday and 400 showed up (slight exaggeration)! They handled it and there was food a-plenty!! Just DONT FORGET TO DONATE IN ONE OF THE MANY BUCKETS FLOATING AROUND FOR DINNER (Doug will have one)! Give till it hurts! There was so much food and desserts there last year that dinner was well worth $20!!! It is all donated by the local ATCA chapter so if you like it, pay up!
Thanks for the sales pitch! You were close on you numbers, 75 people registered and we fed 375. As you can see we know to anticipate a larger number of Truckin" Nuts! Please refer to the information in Double Clutch and make sure to call and sign up. All members and guests are welcome, we simply need to know how much food to buy.
Hope to see you there, If I don't, you don't know what your are missing!

Guys at the risk of being laughed at i have never been to this show or any truck show. How long a ride from NYC to the show and could i go for the day ? Can i buy old brochures and pictures
Don't worry about being laughed at. It seems there are many who have never been to the ATCA National Meet at Macungie. It is referred to as the "greatest antique truck show in the world", well worth the ride from NYC. Macungie is near Allentown and should only be around a 2 to 3 hour drive from NYC. There is a fantastic truck related flea-market that is always full of great truck related items including brochures and pictures. I don't think you will regret making the trip and I would think that once you come to the show, you will never miss it again. See you there!

Remember, the ATCA Family Reunion is Friday night at the park. More info available in Double Clutch!

I only live 20 miles from the show....There are a ton of events there however I may consider having a "BMT-Only" gathering at my house one of the evenings- maybe we can cook some animal flesh on my grill and consume mass quantities of barley and hoppes and howl at the moon. But no one goes into the garage....no one.
No one goes in the garage? I wasn't made aware of that... I pulled your chain and opened the overhead only a month ago and you weren't even at home. I even hauled a couple of things away!

The air cleaner arrangement was an option. The under hood air cleaner had an air intake at the grille opening to pull cool-fresh air through the grille. Single right mounted exterior air cleaner or dual air cleaners can be found on 6 cylinders or V-8's depending on how they were spec'd.
All Magnums are V-8 powered and I would have to say most had air cleaners mounted under the hood.
It simply cam down to preference based on the application, aerodynamics and preference.
I can't say I have ever seen a Super Liner with square tanks from the factory. Steel and aluminum were available.
We seem to be forgetting, when you order a Mack, you order a truck spec'd to what you need. I don't think they will be as flexible now as they once were but, they would pretty much build the truck with the parts you specified.
There is no way to generalize with a Mack.
We do however have at our disposal, the way to find out what each truck was built with, access to the build records at the Mack Trucks Historical Museum.
There are many great advantages to owning Mack Trucks.

It is the 72" cab with the corners cut for exhaust and intake clearance for the body.

The ATCA National Meet at Macungie is the "Greatest Truck Show in the World", not just the country. Just ask some of our members from around the world that have affectionately referred to our little gathering as such.
There is nothing that compares, worldwide!

Is it out of a rear engine with the 90 degree transmission?

All Hail the Mack Museum! Another great tale verifying the unmatched resource we have for our hobby featuring antique Mack Trucks. The staff at the Mack Trucks Historical Museum does a great job honoring the Mack brand.

Nice looking truck. Phil is a good guy. This is probobly a stupid question, what are them stainless things under the headlights wrapped around the fender? I see them on some Superliners I see, and cant figure out what they are.

They are listed as stone guards. When on a Superliner they are usually covering up the swelling of the hinge structure when they rust in the front of the fenders.

I have seen this one before. It is a nice truck. The K would make it a glider, wonder who put it together.
