  1. The planes were flying over the house today while I was working in the yard. I love the sound of them as they go over. I can only think of how threatening that sound would have been to our enemies when the drone of a squadron of them was on the way for the mission.

  2. I would suggest you try to attend the Antique Truck Club of America National Meet next weekend in Macungie Pennsylvania. Not only will there be fire truck enthusiasts there but also Mack enthusiasts who may have some of your answers. There is also a truck flea market that last year had many antique Mack fire truck parts.

  3. I get excited every year to hear that enthusiasts from around the world are coming to the Antique Truck Club of America National Meet. I am confident that when the weekend is over you too will agree that this is the greatest antique truck show in the world.

Although I would usually am running around like a maniac, I try to check in regularly with my wife Vickey and daughter Erica who sell Truckin' Nuts t-shirts and tickets for the model truck.

I look forward to meeting all of you and trying to remember all of your names, screen names, handles and keep them matched up to a face - not to mention, truck, golf cart or other type of personal transportation.

I wish everyone a safe travels to the show!

  4. I go away for the weekend and you guys find all the answers! I guess I am not as important as I thought I was!

Trucks can be parked on the show field as soon as we are ready to park them. We have a ton of stuff to figure out and it typically works out to be after noon on Thursday.

Trucks were built to be used, we understand and encourage you to drive your truck. We would request that the trucks stay stationary until after 4pm. The crowd is typically winding down around then and there is less possibility of any issues.

If you need anything else, please ask, or look it up yourself or something. Have a good evening, i am going to drown myself in ice-cream and beer to cope with my depression...

  5. If you are interested in attending the ATCA Family Reunion, please check out Double Clutch and give Terry a call. We really would like to have a better idea of those who are planning to attend. Last year 75 people signed up and we served 375! We don't have a problem with how many attend, we just do not want to run out of food. See you there!

  6. I would bring the mb pumper over to the show but I wouldn't want to sit there with it all day, for the small chance that anything goes missing I would be in big troble.

As long as I have been around, the only thing that was removed without permission was a couple of Mack banners from the pool fence. Most trucks still have the keys in the ignition and are filled with flea-market finds. There is always a first-time but I don't thin you would have any concerns. Hope to see you there.

  7. There is a great flea-market that contains mostly truck related items. There are many vendors with truck parts only. I can't say you will find exactly what you are looking for, but you may get leads on where to find it.

  8. I finally had time to put together the flyer for the ATCA National Meet. Print this out and share it with the Truckin' Nuts in your life! As usual the show field will be stocked with Mack trucks for your viewing pleasure. This year the feature series will finish out the alphabet with T-Z trucks. If you would happen to have a truck that begins with one of those letters drag it to Macungie with your Mack. We would love to see it.

More information about the show is in the ATCA Double Clutch Magazine. If you are not a member and do not get the b-monthly mag, you can join at the registration booth and we will allow you to take advantage of the member show registration discounts.

In Double Clutch, there is also information about the ATCA Family Reunion that takes place on Friday June 14th at the show. If you have attended in the past, you know how great it is. If you have never attended, you are missing it. THE ONLY THING WE ASK IS THAT YOU CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE SO WE CAN ORDER ENOUGH FOOD! LAST YEAR, 75 PEOPLE SIGNED UP AND WE FED OVER 375. We know to plan for extra but, 300 extra may cause us to run out of food one year. The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of ATCA Truckin' Nuts created this event for everyone to enjoy. The initial cost is out of our pocket and the donations go to reimburse the costs. This is what amounts to a $5000.00 party, we hope you have a good time and we know you will get your moneys worth. The ATCA Family Reunion information is included in Double Clutch. PLEASE CONFIRM YOU PARTICIPATION!

  9. Sorry for the math error, 186 and 64. Phildirt is the Guru on Magnum Mack Trucks. He has all the info for Magnums and he beat me to the computer and put the correct info in.

Chris Lee's is a Magnum and he wanted to make it stand out and he threw his own twist on the restoration. It certainly is eye catching.
