  1. So then am i okay registering at 59k cause thats my combination weight rating? Tom
  2. I just got off the phone with my uncle who has been a Owner Operator trucker for over 25 years, he says it all depends on what you register the truck at at the DMV... The truck could have a 33k gvw but you can register it at 60k and you'll be fine crossing the scales at 59k, Just as long you don't go over the weight of what the truck is registered for! Tom
  3. Sweet!! Congrats, Glad it got saved. Tom
  4. Tell me if I'm following you correctly. My truck has a GVW of 33k. The trailer has a GVW of 26000. So if I'm following you correctly, the GCVWR is 59k. Would i be able to register it for 59k for my total GVW for the truck and trailer? The tarasport is a "Lighter" duty trailer meant to be towed by single axle trucks. Tom
  5. Anyone who has anymore information, please let me know. Tom
  6. I heard that through one of my friends and it just sounded fishy... Why would the Factory put a gvw of 33k and then you can just go to the DMV and register it for more?? Didn't make sense so i just wanted to check. Tom
  7. My truck (International 4400) has a factory gvw of 33000. Is it true if you register it at the DMV for more weight and you put stickers on the side of the truck that are more then 33000 DOT can't do anything about it if your over the 33000 pound mark because you have it registered for more weight..... Tom
  8. Welcome! Got another Jersey guy on here. Im as far north in Jersey as you can get!! Welcome to the site, enjoy your stay. Tom
  9. Here comes my load, Just a near 2 hours late.
  10. Broke the landing gear handle Yesterday morning....
  11. It was an overhead crane in doors all the time. I asked what they preferred and the said chains and binders over straps. I had corner protectors and put them under the chains... Everything went ok, I broke my landing gear handle, broke a bead on a trailer tire, got harassed by Randy JK!!!! But everything went well! Pics coming soon. If you like my face book page you've seen them already.
  12. Well todays the day!!! Wish me luck boys! Ill be sure to take a lot of pics!! Tom

  15. Yea all flat, its a good size boom, Not really that tall just LONG! Tom
  16. I have a quote to move a crane boom it's 50ft long, 35000 lbs. it's only moving 2 miles from one side of the construction site to the other side. How would I go about securing it to my trailer? I have chains and binders just wondering what's the best way to secure it. Here's a pic of the truck and trailer Tom
  17. Ah ive delt with Jay a couple times before when i was looking for a B model "Before i have mine now" he really isnt reliable. Doesnt return phone calls. I told jay to send the people a offer for the truck and it took him almost a week to contact me back and said the truck was sold... Not a fan of him at all.... Truck looks good, But not worth 10k, about 6500 at most. Tom
  18. I was going to say! Those trucks look great for being through a SuperStorm!!! I would like to see more pictures of what they look like now... When you get the chance... Tom
