  2. Going to be ordering vent and door window glass from Watts...

Has anyone replaced these? What holds the glass in place?

What do you use to "mount" the new glass in the frame/regulator?

    Thanks

heh,,good luck my friend,,,buy plenty beer,,glass sits in a thin layer of rubber insulation,,they probably have it at watts,if they dont try any glass shop,,install with soap,n water,,tap glass into rubber,,if in doubt let the glass shop put the glass in the frames,,,dont forget to grease n oil all moving parts to window regulater,,while you got it out..have a ball.lol.bob :whistling:

  3. Two young businessmen in Florida were sitting down for a break in their soon-to-be new store in the shopping mall. As yet, the store wasn't ready, with only a few shelves and display racks set up.

One said to the other, "I'll bet that any minute now some senior is going to walk by, put his face to the window, and ask what we're selling."

Sure enough, just a moment later, a curious senior gentleman walked up to the window, looked around intensely and rapped on the glass, then in a loud voice asked, "What are you sellin' here?"

One of the men replied sarcastically, "We're selling ass-holes."

Without skipping a beat, the old timer said, "You must be doing well. Only two left."

Seniors -- don't mess with them, They didn't get old by being stupid!

    well that was excellant.lol.thanks.bob

  4. It's an 80 with a 300h.p. 6 speed. Took it for a ride this morning ang left a deposit, I'll pick it up on tuesday. The cab levels up when running, so I assume a bag, a line, a fitting or control valve. Coolant leak appears to be from the cap. Going to need to do the throw out bearing, some dash light bulbs an wiper blades. but good for the price. Hopefully if need be I can make some $ with it. Paul

ahrite, man,,,i figured you would be bringing this one home,,,i had air ride on an 87 U model i bought in 89,,what a differance,,specially if you carry a coffee mug,,,enjoy my friend.bob

  5. I actually think it is a personal vendetta from a "weinie washer" that upped the selling price of a truck (RL797S) I looked at in MN last year. This was of course after I drove a little over 580 miles with a gooseneck trailer to pick it up, (I left it setting). Real "flamer" this one, (his husband was just as interesting) and he also drove a 2006 Vision.

    Probably should be banned.

oh,,,man thats always nice,,,i chased a couple dead ends myself,,,not quite that far,,never forget the one, around 37 years ago,,ad read classic 55 ford 4 door good condition 100 bucks,so all i needed was address ,,,drove 90 miles,,,and found a rust bucket,,,rotted up to the door handles,,,and the engine smoked like a train,,,but least the guy didnt have a husband,lol...bob

  6. I live here and don't like it!! But family obligations keep me here. Pulled a Steco demo trailer for Horan Sand and Gravel in the early 80's. Takes a special person to run a dumptrailer in my opinion....just not me. Paul

ya,,,im with ya there,,never done it,but they tell me you need to be very carefull unloading....i generally use a fofklift.come on?.lol.bob

  7. Thanks for all the reply's...All of the lines are in good shape...I cannot believe a dirty fuel filter would bring my mighty Mack to a screeching halt! A new primary and secondary fuel filter ($20) and all is well! Now I just have to get the wheel put back together (from the King pin replacement)!

    that always good news.bob

  8. My new RTO-14613 trans has an oil trough that is bolted onto the top shift cover. I can't tell if this is just a splash deflector or it actually oils a gear. post-78-0-54147100-1313206378_thumb.jpgIt is denoted as #4 on the attached drawing. The cover I have is a std. housing where the truck this trans will go into uses a RTOF style cover moving the shift tower forward a few inches. I am planning to use the RTOF style cover from the original RTOF-12513 trans unless I need another cover to support this trough. There is no way to bolt it to the RTOF style cover I have currently.

Any ideas if this trough is actually needed on the RTOF style cover?RTO-14613 Shift Cover.pdf

Here are a few interior photos of the trans.
