  1. I get this 3-6 code and it runs rough and smokes while it is on. I can usually get it to clean up and will run the rest of the day. While it is running right I can make it duplicate the symptoms by unplugging the selinoid in front of the injection pump ( timing selinoid???) but the light will not come on????
  2. Anyone know what the code 3-6 means on a 1996 ch 613 e-7 engine.
  3. 1996 e-7 with blink code 3-6. Smoking and missing seems always first thing in morning can normally get it to clean up and light off then will run rest of the day??????? Any help would be appreciated

  5. What should oil pressure be on a E7 at say 1600 RPM? Ours is running at about 40 thought maybe it is a little lower then I remember it being, checked the oil might be tad over full wandering if were getting fuel in the crankcase?
  6. Give us some ideas ch613 pulling to the right we had it aligned few years ago and truck doesn't really get that many miles a year.
  7. I agree however I took A pair of pliers to what was left and it is hard but just turns to dust when it crushes I will try the shop vac idea tomorrow .
  8. Pulled injectors out of engine and was using a small honing tool to clean rust out of the head and a piece of the stone broke and fell in the cylinder. Will it crush and not do any harm???? Won't do that again!!!!!
  9. May repaint our mack this spring looking for something that is going to make it stand out a little bit any suggestions. It's blue now thinking of some two tone theme.

  11. Any one know of the rather large operation that runs all macks in or near Youngstown OH pulls dumps tractors are all rather long wheel base and have no passenger seat. Just curious the name of the company and there reputation of maintence of there equipment.
  12. We've got a 96 ch613 that the drivers side front wants to run lower then the passenger side replaced both front spring with no success. Talked with a frame shop and service manager tells me it is from not having the same fuel tanks on both sides. Which it doesn't drivers side is 120 gal fuel, passenger has about 30 gal oil for wet kit. Truck is 204 wheel base service manager says its a common problem that over the years the frame has become twisted and the easy fix is just to add a block under the spring to square it up as we only run about 20000 miles a year. We are off by about a 1.5 in from side to side. How much of a block would I need to raise it that 1.5.

  14. can you rebuild those primer pumps or just replace it??
  15. 1996 ch613 400 mack starts like the fuel is bleeding back almost every time (unless you take it to the dealer to get it fixed). I pumped on the primer pump and had a small amount of fuel leak around the plunger any chance that is where it's getting air.
  16. what if I put on tall 24's is that going to change the gearing that much ? I have set of aluminum buds with new tires ?
  17. If I switch a 4.64 with 11.22.5 tires to a 4.17 with low pro 24.5s or stand up24's with a 350 and a 9spd is this going to work or is it going to be to high with the stand up 24's. Farm truck !!
  18. If your interested I have a E-7 I would sell out of a 85 I bought for the rears. Runs good.
