  1. I am in need of either a custom made or some kind of diaphram for a 79 Valueliner cab I am sticking on my 72 chassis..... the hitch is the sleeper is from a 69-83 KW, its a 36" and it is a "center of window opening style", and I am trying not to cut the back of the cab up, thats why I am using this style of sleeper(less damage to the cab) Any and all help would be appretiated.... On a second note as I have posted already in the forums, I have a 72' cab that would be good as a donor(parts) cab or maybe even restore. I have pictures of the 72 cab if anyones interested
  2. When it comes to the exposed wire terminals and the terminal strips on the firewall and anywhere else, I have always used some 3m liquid electrical tape...... It does a hell of a job on keeping corrosion down.... walmart carries a brand of the tape, but it isnt as quality...... the terminals arent what you check; the corrosion usually is inside the wire next to the connectorjust dab some liquid tape on the connector and you'll rarely have a problem..
  3. I used to work for Sutphen Corp. in Hilliard, ohio as a fire apparatus electrician, and we used heat embossed MTW wire, it costs a few dollars more, but the writing doesnt wear off(its melted into the wire jacket), it comes in a rainbow of colors, they will do anykind of custom orders, and it is lettered everyfoot, ie- 27 Left Turn, 26 Right Turn......... The supplier we used was a company in Bellfontaine, Ohio called EWS Spectrum.. you can look up their number...... they will work with anyone and are very knowlageable Just some food for thought, hope this helps Erik

  5. Trent, I might have not been clear-lol I have the old 72 cab for sale as a donor cab, or partial trade for a interior for an RD. I bought a 79' cab(same dimentions as up to 03'), hood(non intercooled), radiator and a complete tired, but running 237/675; all for 150.00 dead serious!!!! and the cab isnt in that bad of shape(almost no rust). a company I do buisness with was scraping out the truck and I was joking with the owner and he agreed to it.... Will post pics of the new cab as soon as I get around to it..... Sorry for the confusion. Erik
