  1. Yeah, and look at what happened to that RS700. lol
  2. Nevermind, i figured it out. It was just a little overwelming for a second, thanks
  3. Ok, I turned 21 in January and my tags on my truck expired in february. So I went to the DMV and bought apportioned tags, since I am legally allowed to leave the state of Va in a commercial vehicle. I was planning on running in MD, WV, and PA sometime this year. I just received my quarterly fuel tax report in the mail today. I have all my records but it looks like more of a pain in the ass than anything. I am thinking about turning my tags in for VA tags and just staying in VA. My hat goes off to you guys that run multi state everyday and have to fill out this darn thing every 3 months. Has anyone been audited? Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated.
  4. New photo album. I'll put more up when I have time
  5. I have 2 6 speeds that i took out of my trucks last month. the number is TRXL107. One is a 2 stick, and the other is an airshift single stick- the reverse, high and low are on a button on the shifter. Both of the transmissions have the same number. Im trying to get rid of them.
  6. lol, Someone opened up a new can of worms. hahahaha Play nice yall!
  7. In Va, we measure from the center of the front hub to the center of the rear hub on the rear tandem.
  8. We did it to my dad's truck in our own yard. If you look in the background of the red superliner in my profile, you will see a dumptruck. That is the same truck that is pulling the 53' box trailer in the other picture. So yea it's possible. A dumptruck is just a tractor with a dump bed.
  9. Ok, now I understand. Like I said before, I have never driven a truck with an overdrive. It didn't seem like it was lugging. I was trying to burn less fuel, eventhough it already is a fuel squeezer, lol. I thought I could cruise down the road at 1400rpm vs the 1900 that i was doing with the old trans. I guess I won't be using the overdrive much. Thanks for the clarification guys .
  10. My pyrometer probe is after the turbo. Ok, thanks guys. But one more question. Do cat, cummins, and detroit have the same issue with the pyro heating up. I only hear guys with macks talk about it?
  11. The temp of the engine stays well below 150, that's not a problem. I'm just talking about the pyro. I like to see the pyro no higher than 700. So your saying that when I add the bigger stuff to the engine, I will pull more heat? And thanks for the comment thermodynediesel
  12. I just recently put a 10 speed overdrive in my superliner. It has a squeezed down 300hp 4valve E6. When i am in overdrive, pulling somewhere around 1400 rpms at 55-60mph empty, my "new" pyro tells me that it is 900 degrees. It does have a clean airfilter. This is the first truck i've driven with an overdrive. If I got the thing turned up a little with bigger injectors and a new pump/ turbo, which I am planning on doing in the near future any way, will i still pull that much heat? Does more power mean less heat?
  13. Eh, it's just a portable dvd player mounted on top of my cb that plays through the trucks speakers. I had the one that stuck to the dash on the right side panel, but it kept on falling off when I bobtailed. That camel back has got to go! But it looks neat. I'll put a pic up tho.
  14. Damn straight. I just got the jacobs style 2 stage put on my truck last month and that's what it cost me! It works great. They aren't hard to come by.
  15. HAHAHA. But He's got a point. Disconnecting that Anti puff valve makes the throttle work a little quicker, but it's not enviornmentally safe. With that 6 speed you will put out A LOT of SMOKE if you disconnect it. Believe me, I know.
  16. Ya'll are going to hate me for this, but I have an mp3/Cd player in my superliner with a sub behind the pass seat. I also have an indash DVD player. With my two straight 6" pipes, you can't hear the radio too well when you aren't in overdrive, lol. But like Superdog said, "Who needs a radio when you have all that beautiful music coming out of the stack?"
  17. Hahaha. That's what my dad and grandpa keep telling me, right after he said, "There's no way you could have come from my loins." Quoating Jackie Gleason.
  18. Well, i don't pull 53 footers all the time. I understand what you are saying. When i do pull one i just drop them in a parking lot. I mostly pull my 34' dumptrailer. Sometime this year my superliner will have a 290"-300" wheel base. Im not just a steering wheel holder. I like looking good and breaking necks too. I like the long hoods also because of the ease of working on the thing. I hate how my dad's trucks are so difficult to work on because of how tight it is under the hood. That's just my preference. Now there is one truck, the Volvo VT880, that has a set back axle that i like.
  19. Yea you're right. I found a place in pennsylvania that had 5 of them sitting on the floor. By the time I had a chance to get up there, i called the guy and he said that some guy from Austrailia bought all he had.
  20. Ok, call me crazy, but mack has lost a new customer. I am 21 and there are NO trucks in the mack line up that impress me. I love long hoods and setforward axles. I hate to see the darn engine tucked up under or into the cab. The CH's hood is too short for me. Every other truck line has at least one or two long hood trucks. I have a superliner and I think it will be my first and last Mack. It's getting harder and harder trying to find non ragged out superliner at a good price. I will be in the market for a new or newer truck within the next two years. Possibly a glider. It will not be a mack. It might have a mack drivetrain though. you can't beat 'em . Can anyone relate?
  21. Rick is right. The Mack dealer where i live was working on a MH in with a 12 speed. The shop foreman told me they had a hell of a time getting parts for it.
  22. Yea, im used to the mack airshift 6 speed. But i needed gears inbetween and an overdrive. It was almost impossible trying to find a 12 speed mack trans. Everyone wanted a mint for it. I got a brand new super 10 for 400 from the mack dealer with the mack bellhousing already installed. So we'll see how this goes.
  23. I am currently putting a new super 10 eaton trans in my old dog. Has anyone ever driven a super 10? What do you think about that trans? I was told you either love it or you hate it. Im just curious as to what yall think.
  24. I bought panels for the gray interior. The guy told me that as long as I didn't need red, it wouldn't be a problem. for now
