  1. Thanks man! I feel your pain....dog training is a life long process. I appreciate the info. That seems like a cheap enough fix it shouldn't break the bank. Just need some denatured alcohol, I think I drank all mine, unless Tennessee whiskey will work, and a kit. First I'm hoping someone on here can look at my Vin and tell what compressor I have. 2. Took off the regulator run some cleaner threw it and blew it dry, seems fine...popn' off at 120PSI. I really have to run up the rpm's or it will not build pressure. Run the up the RPM's(full throtle) and it seems to build at a normal rate and will hold pressure with engine off.
  3. Hello I hope all is well. Started having troubles with air pressure not building. Its off and on as of now, more off than on. So trying to figure out my problem. I replaced the governor about 2 years ago, but was under the impression this only relieves the pressure at 120 psi and doesn't have anything to do with building air (not for sure). No leaks bad enough to cause it not to build at all. It will build at times but when it loses pressure it will not recover. Air Dryer? Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks, Cp Vin # 1M1AA18Y7TW061901
  4. For the record, when I talked with the service manager at my local Mack, he called the "Z" spring an "S" spring. Never the less, the main support member had a cost of $191.00 at the dealer and they charged me $150.00 to put it on. So once again, I'm truckn'....
  5. I appreciate it, you've helped me confirm what I need to do. After reading over your older post, I don't think I'll have to disassemble as much just to change the "Z" spring. I'm about to talk myself back into the job, just have to see what tomorrow brings.
  6. I think you just talked me out of it... May end up supporting my local mechanic on this one. There's a lot of things I'd like to tackle on the Mack but don't have the time. Weather finally improving around here and I've got some catching up to do. I guess it will all depend on how soon they can get me in.
  7. Gregg, I appreciate the advice & Tips. I guess I'll get my Mack dealer on the phone first thing tomorrow and see where I stand. I'll post what I find out for future reference. Thanks to everyone!
  8. Looking at the parts diagram from hendrix and the "Z" spring is called a main support member, although I do like Z spring better. I also noticed that depending on which one I have, I see that some of them are for Mack only.
  9. Thanks rh, At one time I thouhgt you could pretty much pull up the history of the truck. I guess I waited to late. Thought it would be good to have on hand since the truck is getting older and I don't have any real plans of getting rid of it. Once I start working on this "Z" spring you'll probably see it on here next week in the Gallary with a good price on it!
  10. I appreciate that link. I figured that's what I had, but didn't know if Mack had a lock and key in the ones for their trucks or if I could by this part anywhere.
  11. I'm thinking it is original to the truck. It still has the mack air bags, but where would be the best place to look to identify? This brings up something I've been meaning to ask, if I give my VIN can someone on here get me my build sheet?
  12. Yea man that's it. I'm wondering if it's a mack part or not?
  13. Not for sure the proper name for this part (leaf spring?), but its broke. It slides threw the u bolts to the bottom of the rear air bag. How hard would it be to replace and what do you think it will cost?

  17. I appreciate it. Once I got my thoughts together, I realized it shouldn't be to bad. I just got to figure out what I need to add the two lines to the pump itself. Looks like I'm rained out tomorrow so I'm gona take a closer look.
  18. Is there a general rule of thumb for slack to allow on the hydraulic lines coming from the truck?
  19. Thanks a bunch!. I forgot to mention that my trailer has two quick disconnects that the pony is plugged into. Could this take the place of the T's?
  20. My truck (96 CH613) has a single wet line that I have never used. The previous owner used for a dump trailer. I would like to add a dual line to operate a detach trailer. I also want to keep my pony motor, so I'm thinking I will need a diverter valve to keep the pony. Anyone have any input on what it would take to do this? Thanks
  21. The Swan Trailer has got be the craziest thing I've ever seen. You could put giant feathers on the side and a little art work on the neck and the it would look just like its name. This has been a crash course in converting and dump trailers for sure! Got an ideal what I need, just need to find a good deal now. I appreciate everyone!
