  2. the driver was responding to a brush fire (non emergency) and he got close to the shoulder and the road broke off and he went into the ditch. the truck came to rest next to a cliff and a rock sticking out caught the redlight and air horn on the passenger side it left a dent in the cab and in the front compartment (minor damage) when the towing company hooked to it and lifted it back in the road it bent the frame extensions (bumper brackets) on the front. the right side kingpin now has slack in it. I hope it has just busted the bearing. but in any case the truck is going to the local mack dealer to get the king pins replaced and is going to be checked from one end to the other just to be on the safe side. no one was hurt in the accident but the driver has told us he wont be driving the truck anymore and that he blames himself for the accident. but like we told him things happen all the time. he is a good driver and now he is scared to death of the trucks.

  3. post-5260-0-25595200-1384832507.jpg we are looking to buy a newer truck and I saw this truck but there isn't any information on where this truck is from except its from Connecticut. the selling firm didn't give any info as to who owns it just the minimal specs it is a 1991 with a 350 engine and a 1000 gpm pump and 750 gal tank. if any of you could give me any information on the truck I would greatly appreciate it. I looked on fdnytrucks and didn't see it but I might of over looked it. thanks joe post-5260-0-25595200-1384832507.jpg

  5. everything is going ok with the mack we are going to have the king pins replaced though they have some slop in them and we cant get them to tighten up one of my mechanic friends says the bushings are bad so were going to replace both pins just to be on the safe side

  6. The guys on the fire dept have changed the brake chambers on the 87cf pumper and it has disc brakes my question is how do you adjust the brakes to get them to stop good it has new pads on it and now new chambers but it still won't stop like it should and the park brake don't hold good
