  1. yea it gets hot sometimes we had another last nite. owner was burning garbage and went in house when he came back out his out building was on fire. i know that he would never do it on purpose (good friend) because he dont make alot of money $8.00 hr and he dont have any insurance on anything but his car. but sometimes good people do dumb things. and in other news the guy that burned his house and the church is out walking the community again and the stupid people of the community action agency are going to build him a new home using the tax payers money.

  2. i didnt care for it. not alot of realism to me theres a whole lot of difference in knowing that the floor your standing on is not going to go anywhere and being worried about whats under you but thats just me. but on the other hand it did show a few proper techniques on fighting fires. but in real life alot of times you cant use them but some times you can.

  3. aint that the truth. it would be nice to know back in high school what i know now. things would be alot different for me now. but i wouldnt listen to anyone (i knew it all) so i have to make due with what i have now but it could be worse.

  4. The 400 is plenty for what the big RDs were designed for ive hauled many a loads of coal on these through the mountains most in the 40 to 50 ton range. the stoutest one ive ever been in had the 427 with the 8spd and 6.73 gears that thing would pull like a raped ape (sorry rob) but the 400s were not far behind in the power dept . alot of people around here had them with the 425 cat in them also but i would rather have one with the mack engine as they didnt break down everyday. they was one that had a e9 500 in it and that was a brute but driving too fast on the mountain haul roads got it totaled as it went over the mountain when the driver side dumped it while going around a curve too fast while loaded.

  5. THANKS FOR THE REMINDER. NOW THAT YOU HAVE MENTIONED IT WHEN WE WERE BLEEDING THE BRAKES YOU COULD HEAR THE SPRINGS PULLING THE SHOES BACK AND IT SOUNDED LIKE THEY WERE GOING PRETTY FAR BACK. ILL ADJUST THE SHOES CLOSER TO THE DRUMS AND TRY IT AGAIN. I CANT BELIEVE THAT I DIDNT THINK OF THAT AS MANY TRUCKS AS IVE FOOLED WITH. I GUESS I MIGHT AS WELL CHECK THE SHOES AND IF THEY ARE WORE FAR ENOUGH PUT NEW ONES ON WHILE ITS STILL NOT IN SERVICE.

  6. that truck was totaled before the movie people bought it. i know the guy that they bought it from it used to be a tandem with a 21foot coal bed when it was wrecked the first time. they put another junk cab he had on it and welded the frame up. the movie people put alot of money in it to just destroy it but like i said before it had been tatoled before the movie folks got it. i dont know where they got the trailer though.

  7. my first car is a 71 camaro ss 396 4 speed my dad bought it to drag race with but when he saw how good of shape it was in he couldnt cut it up so we pulled the engine and trans and put in a 350 with a 350 trans and i drove it to school and on dates and such. then one day while at the track (i raced it a few times in foot brake class) a guy comes over and starts asking about the car and if it was a true ss 396 or not and we told him it was and he begin to tell us how rare the car was (only 978 made with 4 speed) and thats one of the last times i drove the car we put the engine and trans back in it and now it sits in my dads garage. last time i started it it started like it had not been stored for a few years. now im going to have to go drive around the block a few times and play a little bit.

  8. yea no bleeders line from splitter going in top and line going to lower cyl coming out below it it only has two holes per wheel cyl. its a odd set up as the 74 chevy and the 78 f 600 that we have are set up with line from splitter going into bottom cyl and bleeder screw in top cyl. as i said earlier we have never changed a line or wheel cyl on truck the front brakes are set up this way also on all of the trucks
