  1. I can’t for the life of me figure out how anyone can support Joe Biden.  Don’t get me wrong, the Republicans have put up some real winners in the past, but Biden takes the cake.

    His motivations are complicated....

Dave’s the guy who jumps in the pool to save the drowning lady, swims over to her, and when she claw rakes him in the face like a wet, drowning, cat....He punches her, with full steam, blowing her teeth out, breaking her nose and jaw and  making her permanently cross eyed due to frontal lobe brain damage....then drags her to safety.... and tells her unconscious body “Mack transmissions suck!”. I have to believe he means well and saves a few (Democrat’s) who are tough enough to survive the initial rescue attempt.

“Mack transmissions suck!”  Laughed my ass off at that.

Your covered wagon as you call them is for hauling rolls out a mill, or mill rolls we call them, Turner has div. just for hauling mill rolls and run up to 13 axle special built by Trail King mill roll trailers, Thermo king units you see are actually Heat kings and make heat so the rolls don't get chilled.

Thanks for clearing that up.    I was wondering what the they were doing.

I know they are few and far between but more Granite tractor please. Why so few I have no clue. I would guess they could be speced light like a Pinnacle axle foeward. Not enough of these out there either.

We had 5 Granite tractors that were 03’-05’s. Spec’ed just as light as any thing else Mack was putting out.   I always thought Mack should have done a Valu-Liner type package for the Granite.

Hah!- well given its age I hope it goes out with a 2 yard order 😎 I think the 7.8 Ford was replaced in like 94?? so you folks are running one that is probably at least 26 years old!  If nothing else says you must have a pretty good PM program.

We try to!  That truck is a 92’ and we have a 94’ With an 8.3 Cummins. Newest mixers on the road for us are 01’ RD’s.   Bought 2 05’ Granite’s yesterday.  The Louisville’s stay around because they aren’t Really worth anything and when you need them they are priceless

I remember a lot of 'Donald Duck' Transtar mixers back in the day.  Lots of Mack R's too, and some GMC J series and Stars.  In the 70's more Peterbilts, short hood Generals, Paystars, a few Brigadiers, a few Ford L's.

I will lay down a challenge here and ask for someone to post a Donald Duck mixer truck.

Noticed quite of few the Fords pictured were 8000's and had the badge under the "8000" that indicated "Ford diesel".  I'm assuming that would have been the biggest Ford ag engine, the 7.8 at 240 HP.  Can't imagine what they were like when it came to a significant grade😎

We have one in a mixer.  It’s a spare now and any grade knocks it on it’s ass.

  8. There were a lot of General Mixers around the Chicagoland area.  Pretty sure all the big players had a few, but Material Service had the bulk of them.   In my ignorance, I thought Material Service was a Chicagoland company.
