  1. James,

it may be a market thing, but market or not there's in any way a driver can tell his friend that he's proud driving a Volvo.. but driving a Mack, with more then 100 years of history and that everybody know and thrust it's the thing... won't change a worn chrome bulldog ornament for a crated Volvo.

  2. must jack both of 'em to make sure there is no 'pressure' on the wheel. when the truck will move all your mesurment will get bad... i use masking tape to do it. you just make the wheel turn and put masking tape around it and after that you make the same thing with a pen, smaller line for more precision..

  3. getting frustrated everytime I heard about it. no interior or almost any are available at Mack for a R model.look they stop RD in 2003!! it's all the same from 1986 to 2003 except small details... I'm not scarry to buy an old GM pick-up, 1000's of 'em are still running and when you go to GM dealer, you can have everything you want! Mack should make shure all 'old' Mack can get fixed with genuine parts, has they told us!

  4. all these truck are from Quebec. The blue R-700 got a 375 V8. the year after that he put twin 6'' stack and turn the screw a bit. maybe twin 12'' stack would not even be enough to breathe that black smoke. He's now racing a blue Superliner with a 450 as a base. It was amazing to see that Mack doing it start. The cabover isn't equiped with an automatic, but the guy got a nice hand as you can see. he's the brother of the international with the Detroit. the burgundy Superliner was r is now twin turbo. they call him Big Mack Attack!
