2 valve heads had steel valve covers. 4 valves had aluminum and the 4 valves injector lines came out the side of the head not down from the top. 2 valve head has 2 nuts holding the injector down

Those cams if good are worth some money. Mack has a hard time finding good E6 cams nowadays

Ya there is 2 plastic plungers in the lift pump if you take the to plugs out on the top.

Def no hand primer on there. Sometimes what I find is if air is getting in the system the truck will smoke a little white since it's not burning fuel properly. If the gov is hunting at an idle you do have a gov issue.

Indianapolis Mack had a Mack Jr. Long long ago in their showroom floor. And they didn't have Decatur Mack from Illinois on there. They have been there forever

Need a high pressure timer to do it right. 😏 Runs off port closer. Take spring out of the number 1 delivery valve and the fuel will flow. When port closer is reached the fuel bead (flow) will stop.

It's very accurate but expensive to own. It comes in very handy if you play with fuel pump timing for truck pulling. 👍😬

The trans with L N H is kinda what's in my dads R 600. It has R1-5 on the right stick. And L-N-H on the left stick low is toward the back of the cab. High is against the dash. It is the .78 od Truck will run 75 mph with 4.17 at 2400rpm when you put it in OD it drops rpm to 1200 at then she will be in pass those big talking fast Peterbilt gear. Lol. It should gear out at 130+

My dad has one that has R and 1-5 on the right stick and the left stuck was direct and against the dash is over drive. That truck will move out with 4.17 in it
