  2. We tried a pre owned ballrace turn table once it was well worn so we put new balls in. the local bearing place had 3/4" balls @ 75cents each ... or 20mm balls (near enuff same size) @ $1.90 each. now we stamdarised on a Quick Realease Turntable with a greasy plate underneath ... the main 12" diameter bronze bush is $150 to replace

se we went to the UBute plastics shop and purchased 10' of waist belt size ( 10' x 2" x 1/4" ) @ $35 ... when we winch our trailers up to the QRTT with a mechanical driven winch behind truck cab there is th@ much gearing and momentom th@ we would crush the balls in a ball race turn table

  3. Not sure what's go  n on

but in some cases the rubber 'O' rings B Tween the 2 chambers start leaking in the maxibrake

and when U release the parking brake by pushing the big button in on the dash

air leaks into the service brake chamber and gently applies the brakes on the oposite wheel or leaks out the quik release valve

other way of checking is take the service brake hose off the maxi and see/hear if air is leaking out the brake port on the maxi

  4. Gr8 info Geoff

our older trucks have drain taps fitted to bottom of air tanks

once a week we let the tanks drain over night and note any oil or sludge on the ground next day

With the compressor govonor cut out @ max 120

the commpressor is free wheeling and  the air is sukd through the engine air supply

if the engine air cleaner a little clogged the engine can suck oil up past the compressor piston rings

and enter the wet (#1) air tank and gradully move thru the air system

we also notice some trailers have the main air supply line 1/2"

to charge trailer air system U need to hold the buttin in @ the cab control

where by a 3/8" supply line the button dose not need to held in as the supply of air is a little less demand from the truck

    ifn U get my drift

    LOL

  5. Sounds like a process of elimination

if you cruising along can u take the stik out of gear as in nuetral

let the engine go to idle revs

then rev upto the same revs as when U hit neutral

and the gear stik should slide back in to the same cog

no need for clutch on this proceedure
