  1. Its the Indians that run all the Dunkin Doughnuts, 7-11's and hotel managers.

The delicatessens will however suffer a shortage of clerks and about half of the taxi cabs will also stop running too. But I am not too worried seeing as how there will be plenty of hispanics to fill those jobs.

  2. Welcome! That is a real nice F model you got there.

This is a great thread! Love to see and hear from different places. Those trucks are in awesome shape for the age, wouldn't look like that in New England.

I am a bit surprised that things rust less in "Old England". Their climate is not that different from ours despite the UK being further north.

  3. I have a B model tandum with a quadreplex it has a blown up motor what would be a good motor (Turbocharged ) to put in it best for hookn to the sled any Ideas?and would the quadraplex work ?thought about the 237 or would a 350 work just curious of u guys input.Im not unopposed to any thing thanks

Well if you plan on turning up the motor I would keep away from the quad/triplex/duplex gear boxes. The single counter shaft don't like gobs of torque and even putting one behind a 237 or 300 is not the best idea unless you're going to baby it. Sled pulling and babying dont belong in the same sentence. And as for motor, I dont think the 673 will like the tuning, probably run into head gasket problems. 711 is right out for tuning.

Get a 237 or 285/300 tip turbine, maxitorque strait 5 or 6 speed and start there. At the risk of enduring the wrath of fellow forum members I would also recommend looking into an Allison for serious sled pulling. A 350 E6 motor could be fitted with some modifications to fit the aftercooler, probably the best route.

  4. Thereare multiple reasons this happens. 1) On the Rio Grande and other entry points, there are yellow flashing lights and large warning signs. To the people that see them they only mean one thing.....Go like heck and don't stop.

    2) At colleges and other areas frequented by the under 25 crowd, if it doesn't text you the warning in text slang its not there. Thats why the Traffic Alert signs work....looks like texting

lol ur not going 2 fit lol

  5. Sounds like one hell of a nice MH with the V8 and all. The V8 parts are getting hard to come by although not impossible. Plenty of second hand cabs around for parts and frames are the same as the Superliner 2 and CL. The 12 speed is one hell of a gear box, and its a monster too.

Have you thought of importing an F88 for restoration? IT would be a bit more expensive but how many F88's are on this side of the pond? Would be a nice piece for shows. Im more partial to the Scania LB's myself, would be neat to bring a piece of old European Iron to Macungie.

  6. Paul, Sorry to hear of your accident. Good to hear your okay. I tell ya, the damn highways are full of those ass wipe kids in their used $500 rice burners. You always see them weaving in and out of traffic tailing you or cutting you off. I had one cut if front of me with inches to spare once didn't see it coming and just about shit myself. They all think they are race car drives in those heaps.

  7. Hey everyone,

I got my hands on a really nice drafting program here at work, called Graphite and its developed by Ashlar Vellum. I figure I can start designing a few things for the truck. I am not going to be home this weekend so I cant measure my trucks rails.

I need to know the following for a B61:

    -Outside width between the rails

    -Rail height

    -Rail thickness

    -Rail flange width

Example frame rail cross section I want to make (ignore the hole pattern in the middle I was copying one from a Holland data sheet.)

Example Pintle hook plate (I know you can buy these prefabbed but this is more of an exercise for me)
