Hi guys
Attended a good show last weekend. Great turn up of trucks and some awesome people caught up with that I hadn't seen for a few years. Here's some of the Macks from the Friday arrivals. I still have a few more to upload.

Have been 'following' Mike's collection for a few years now but there's a lot of trucks there I hadn't seen before. Good stuff, Olive!
-
No surprise to me, Al. That's a stunning LTL.
-
Looks like you're onto an almost unique (?) survivor. Nice one, looking forward to hearing how this pans out.

You can really pick up the chicks now, Vinny, with that convertible U.
Keep at it, mate. Looking forward to "The cab is back on!" thread.

Wow, looks like he's got some fun ahead of him. Love the LJ in particular. Saw my first G a couple of months ago and now they're popping up everywhere. LOL.
-
Congrats Mike and Wendy.

Got a few but all in storage at the moment. Mostly First Gear and Matchbox (all Bs) but a couple of Matchbox CHs and those large Signature (or whatever ithey are) fire trucks (the two Type 75s).

It's good to see further improvements being made to an already great looking truck, a G model no less.
Couldn't agree more
I scraped all that nasty grease off my fifth wheel. It will sometimes get stuck while turning and I have to drop the trailer, straighten out the tractor, and re-hook. It sucks doing that in the middle of an intersection, but that fifth wheel looks sharp for that 1/10 mile I bobtail around the yard every night. -
Gotta love it, JT. The pedestrians who do that probably do the same in their cars. Do you have any pics of the trams at Wildwood? I wonder if anyone has crawled over them to see what's left of their Mack origins. Would have thought the chassis might still be original.
-
Not the P word truck that you were thinking of, Vinny, but it is as that's who owns KW and P*******t.
-
Great to know they might still be turning a wheel. Thanks, Ron.

Anyone seen the movie Real Steel starring Hugh Jackman? He plays the main character and gets around in a Sightliner. Lots of goodly truck footage in the film. Not a bad film either.
-
I bet I could put two U models on their. Hey, what a coinsidence isnt it Mike?
You stacking them, Vinny?

Was there any other choice?! Of course not!
Very cool. If any survived I reckon they would be very collectable these days. Most things from the '39 World's Fair seem to be.

CONGRATS on the newest addition!! were expecting our first at the end of july!
All the best 220cummins. Our first is 11.5 weeks old now and absolutely wonderful.

Thanks other dog, I hadn't heard ot the Keystone mob nor had I seen their EGU/EHU/EwhateverU. What a collection! Have dropped them a line to see if they'd like to add her to the E-model registry.
Just a quick follow-up. They got back to me with the VIN. She's an EGU but badged as an EHU. Thanks, Keystone!

Noticed a B-model in National Lampoon's Vacation the other day. Just as Chevy Chase gets out of the desert he walks passed a short row of derelict trucks. There's also a glimpse of a B reversing in the background at the start of Rocky. A B-model also masquerade's as a WW2 German truck (!) pulling a barge on a trailer in The Battle Of Britain.
-
Congratulations, David. It would appear you are most certainly formerly cool.
All the best to you, the better half and the menagerie.

G'day Rocky
This thread might be of some help even though a good distance from you - http://www.bigmacktr...__fromsearch__1
For the emblems (and other trim items etc) the one-stop shop that is Watt's Mack's B-Model Store is probably your best bet. Barry will be able to help you out easily. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1
You've got a great foundation to a restore a great truck. All the best with it.

Some more photos of tymack's glorious EE added to this thread, E fans - http://www.bigmacktr...e-brake-system/

Truly superb, tymack. Just amazing. Her VIN should be on a tag on the passenger's seat. If she's missing that (doubt it going by the rest of her!) it should be stamped into the right-hand chassis rail behind the rear spring hanger (or in that general area).
I get excited by a lot of trucks but this one truly warms my heart. Magic stuff. She does look good in her working clothes.
-
Stunning work. Worth every penny but way out of my league. Where's that lottery ticket?
-
It sucks getting all soaked and full of grease washing everything down too
Therapeutic, BD!

The Flintstone above was V8-powered and apparently one of only 25 (IIRC) R600s to be built with a V8.
