  1. lol mine too. You don’t have to go to all that trouble but it is fun digging in old boxes that’s why I put this back on the bench I found it looking for something else. I might start a thread on Jim Etter and Doug Compton AIM and Dave AITM stuff and we can post our stuff there and maybe others will follow along. I know people have interesting stuff that Dave never offered. I have a couple old cabs I got from Doug that was models at one time that need to be restored.
  2. Yeah I have a small farm so I’m out every morning at 4:45 am feeding the sheep before I go Dump Trucking and do the same when I get home and odds and ends around the barn. This time of year I like to build models as much as possible because when spring his it’s all outdoors from there till late fall. That’s why I haven’t been around here much
  3. Yeah Detroits were around plenty of them. I might play it safe and put a Cummins in it and paint it yellow. Since the hood won’t be open I’m just going to cut an old Cummins 370 block in half and drop it in as an engine pan. I would like to see that DM800 on the bench again the wife just bought me one the other night at hobby lobby. I’m thinking of working on it. I haven’t buy one since around 1985.
  4. I keep mine off all the time the wife is gone it’s so piece full 😂
  5. Thanks for the compliment I appreciate it. I have just a few of his and some of Doug Compton who bought it from Jim in the late 80s. I bought a lot from Dave and he would sell to his trusty comers like me very rare parts and trucks I’m sure you are one of them. I’ll post a pic of the instructions of this truck where you can see Jim’s line drawings and Dave adding to it with the Window template. I was reading some threads here getting caught up and I was thinking I would like very much to see your model truck builds you done for customers and yourself. Hope to have more updates soon.
  6. Thanks for the compliment. I’ve been looking last night and this morning for the correct engine paint for this truck. It probably had a Cummins in it which would’ve been yellow at this time frame. I wonder if they powered these with Mack engines. Good to see you how’s the Mack DM800 model truck coming along? I read where you put it back up.
  7. I bought this 1/25 scale Mack LMSW-M resin kit from AITM about 7 years ago and been working on it off and on.
  8. Any updates on the MPC DM ??
  9. Thanks for the compliment. I still have 12 unbuilt and 2 almost finished.
  10. Looks good Bob at least you have a rolling chassis now.
  11. That’s cool. I’ll have to post more of mine but I’ll start a different thread on mine so I won’t be hijacking. I just got done building the Walthers Freight Building like yours. Here’s a pic of it with a White Frieghtliner I built many years ago I hand painted the red stripe on it. It’s on a Switching layout I’m building in the house.
  12. Looks good Bob nice updates.
  13. Thanks Paul I appreciate the compliment. This one is now my favorite been wanting to do this build for many years I’m glad I got it done.
