Great story! Can you post a pic of the blue one now?
-
I really like those!

Probably around the time of "121" brakes, 1973 along with the plus 3 cab.
Weren't maxis mandated in the late "60's?

I don't think that's a 300...(Ebay one)

My truck still has the original brakes, and they work great. I asked my buddy why he never converted it, he said there was never a need. Truck will skid the tires the handbrake works so good, and this truck worked til "09.

My B75 was converted to negative ground in "02 when the owner bought a new Interstate lowboy. ABS would not work otherwise.

Plenty of those twin sticks have survived over the years with Maxis in front of them. Your a smart guy and drive it right I'm sure
-
Do you know what "300" it is?

I'M SURE YOU HAVE MANY GREAT MEMORIES; WE WONT TALK ABOUT ANY "NOT SO GREAT MEMORIES", chuckle chuckle!
Plenty of both . Even when life is throwing you for a loop, still need to get your job done...

CRESTVIEW RD DUMP IS BEAUTIFUL; BIGDOGTRUCKER, IT MUST HAVE BEEN A PLEASURE TO DRIVE. OBVIOUSLY YOU DIDNT JUST DRIVE IT THO', JUDGING BY THE LONGEVITY OF ITS LIFESPAN, YOU "CARED" FOR IT TOO! WHAT IS THE TIME FRAME OF THIS PICTURE?
I grew up seeing this truck and others they had. I worked there 2000-2008, this one was redone a little over 10 years ago and the pic is from then. It was all dark blue with an OX body originally, me and that old dog went through a lot together...

Great pics! You just need more wheel time. After a while you'll be driving without thinking about it to hard, like second nature

This one is a Power Giant, many had IH 549's...
-
Good chance that Dodge has an IH gas engine. If it were diesel we'd be talking right now

New rubber alone would be in the thousands. Much better off just getting them running and yard driving and find good homes for them.

Talked to the previous owner last night, crank has not been turned I know that for sure.

Where in NC are you? The Dodge won't bring much honestly with the gas engine, big thing is how are the cabs and frame rails on both trucks?

Might have gotten wrong bearings put in it when built
I don't think it would have did the work it did for 20-25 years if so?
Time for another story.
