  1. I actually bought the truck from a vintage auto dealer in Denver, Colorado.

    Paul,

    No big loads at all.

According to the data sheet, with the TRD 67 transmission and the RAS rear axle with a 4.25 ratio, top speed is 57 MPH @ 2100 RPM. I think my ratio is a 5.14 which makes a top speed of 47 MPH.... Yikes!

I want to go 65 to 70 MPH with ease and get rid of the air start system.

    Mark

Do you mind if I ask what it cost you Mark??

  2. Im going to advertise in Wheels of Time. Everyones been telling me its a good market to sell in. I wont take 15,000 its too low. Seen many B61 go for more than that in worse shape. But thanks for the suggestion anyway.

jam.....feel your pain....doesn't matter where you go, buyers are scarce...mostly looking for project price trucks...rusty

  3. IMO....hard to say what will happen with his pres. run......I have been thinking though...has he lied about anything so far??? and Hillary is out there making jokes about her political shenanigans...as for immigration....whatever the outcome..if any, you have to remember that people in this country won't do alot of the work that the Mexican and others do.....so where does that leave us?

  4. I went to Roanoke to pick the truck up yesterday. The nice lady service manager showed me 3 pages of stuff that they did when I asked, very little of which made any sense to me except they updated the ECM and did a re-gen. So it was all sensor/electrical issues. I got the keys and went to hook to the trailer and saw a puddle of oil on the ground under the trailer by the left front tires. So I went back in and said "I know this is a stupid question, but could you fix a grease seal on the trailer"? She said it would probably be a few hours before they could get it in, and they probably wouldn't have the right seal because they didn't carry many trailer parts. I figured if I went to Lee-Hi it would be the same "a few hours" story and it was already about 4:30, so I went to Concord.

I started to get a bottle of hub oil and go on up the road with it, but if I went through a check and they saw it i'd have to have it fixed on the road, so I called headquarters and told them it would be sitting there this morning. So now i'm back where I was 2 days ago, about to start over again.

MORE TIME FOR PICS OF THE WEEK?? YOU'LL GET THERE SOON ENOUGH BROTHER!! :SMOKIE-LFT:

  5. I've seen a lot worse B's. That White 9000 is a keeper. Not to many escaped the scrapper. One of the greatest tributes to the iconic

Mack truck is the fact that Mack and White were pretty much neck and neck as far as sales went back in the 60's and seventies.

The Macks made it to a second and third life and then to restoration. The Whites made it to the scrap yard.

Agree......what a damn shame these ol dolls end up their days for mere pennies.....
