Mack Tech, I used to weld coal barges on the monongehela river when it was -25 degrees, with water running down my arm! Having lived in Fla for 25 years we huddle shivering when it is 50! Lol So I know how you feel! There is a point where it doesn't feel any colder I think at about where you are! Assuming no wind is involved!

Toy mack pedal trucks! What year were they made? Must have been the teens when the "c" cabs were made! When I was 3yrs old I had a little ww 2 airplane pedal car, haven't seen another since! They are very valuable to collectors!

TD it is not only common but pretty much standard procedure among major carriers to run mudflaps n the back and quarter fenders in front of the wheels, as when the fifth wheel gets a little worn and you turn a corner fenders get ripped off or damaged! Of course with a gooseneck this isn't a problem! You can keep your fenders shiny with armor all or a product called "Back to Black" sold at wal mart or auto parts stores. It's designed to use on the plastic cladding on new vehicles!

TD, congrats on the awards😁 do you read Hemmings? A 72 R model single axle won the publishers award in their " Cruise in"  which occurs  every Thursday weather permitting, this show normally features antiques, street rods and pickups! This is the first time I've seen a truck tractor win an award!

TD, have you seen the video of the antique tractor run over the Mackinaw bridge in Michigan's upper peninsula? You'd fit right in!

TD,cool tractor,is the steering  gearbox above the tire or on the drivers end of the drag link? I'm guessing it's above the tire!

Is the steering box above the tire? Have never seen a single wheel tractor up close!

Nice bumper,do you have a matching right side mirror or didn't Gus come with one? Would make him more symmetrical! Also prevent some idiot from sneaking around you on right!

TD, ol' Gus is looking great! I hope you have a seat belt!, it would be a long fall to the ground! I assume you're still working on the doors. I see you have one of the good quality metal spinner knobs unlike the plastic junk they used to sell in the fifties and sixties!
