No, it's not stated in black and white, but the fact remains. I am told by Mack people that it is very state of the art, very sterile, and very impressive.

An odd-ball, and an odd (cannon) ball. The Marmon was a truck I took in trade on a new Mack years ago, and the GMC belonged to a local guy, Henry Klienfelter.
Henry had several interesting trucks, he also had a twin-turbo V8 F model, and a Diamond Reo
Shiny paint is way over-rated!

Yes, Bill switched to MH's. They were as fine looking as the F's. Bill doesn't drive much any more, but there are still some F's and MH's around, I don't think there are any still in service.

I don't have any literature that shows a quad box option on L models, but it was certainly an option on the B's. The earliest quad spec sheet I have is dated 1964, but it may have been available earlier.

Might as well get an F model thread started. The white F model was part of the Sindall fleet from New Holland Pa.
The black one was a unit in the Bill Rollman fleet, from Lititz, Pa.
I don't make it a practice to post pictures that I didn't take, but in this case, the first picture is mine, the others are from Bill's personal collection. Bill is well known for operating a fleet of some of the nicest Macks you'll ever see.

The Matlack Photo has to rank among the greatest in my opinion, speaking of Downingtown, any Chemical Leaman B-model photos?
The Matlack picture was taken at an open house they held at the terminal at Swedesboro, NJ. My friend in the picture, his father was an owner-operator for Matlack, he had an early F model.
Sorry, no Chemical Leaman pictures, even though I drove for a small fleet owner that had several KT Cummins powered IH 4300's leased on. I never took any pictures, I guess I was too busy trying to make a couple $$$$ and raise a family.

Just stumbled on this shot from my archives, looks like a period snapshot of one of the Edgecomb Acars, I think this might have been taken in York Pa, at an event at the Thomasville airport.
The blue Acar was an owner-operator
The last pic is Joel Gehman's tri axle dump.

Sorry guys, I just can't help myself. The first one is John Hoppes' ex J. G. Baker tow truck, I think the implication here might be a tad optimistic, you'll never know unless you try, The second B model is a picture I took at the old long gone Downingtown Ironworks in Downingtown, Pa. One of the prettiest B models I ever saw.

A couple B models in work clothes,
the first is a B75 at Gerharts,
next is John Chalmers' B61 (with a 300 tip turbine under the hood) leased on to John Benkart,
then a fresh Matlack B61 (the kid standing on the ground should have listened to his dad, and STAYED AWAY from trucks!),
then another shot of the B75 at Gerharts,
A Gerhart B42 single axle
and last but not least, a Bill Rollman B61

I like your spin on that Rowdy. I think you're right on the money. We have a local chiropractor that does it, and that made it simple and easy. Since they revised the blood pressure criteria, you need to make sure you're nice and mellow when you go in, and oh yes, you sleep like a rock all night every night.

As built it was 525 hp. Over the years it probably got tweeked.

Yes there really is a Jenny, she's my neighbor. I was thinking somebody told me she sold that, and bought what used to be the Hungry Man on route 41 just south of 30. You won't leave hungry!!!

A comparison between "front loaders" and "top loaders". Also remember, all similarly rated axles are not created equal. All three manufactures mentioned offer different versions of the same weight rated axles. There are different housing thicknesses, different housing materials, and different gross combination weight rated carriers (gear sets). So keep that in mind when you do comparisons.
