  1. Ok so I got in to the engine a little bit and I seems that the shaft that bolts to the injection pump timing gear is broken. Is there a chance some one has a diagram? Or the name of the shaft? I have called a couple dealers with no luck at finding the part. It doesn't seem to have anything else wrong with it.

  2. Anyone know what kind of hp and tq they make? My dad says the 673c "250" had a lot more power then the 711 turbo. From a cubic in side I find it had to believe. Cause the 711 should make a considerably more tq giving the cube differences. Anybody have any power numbers?

  3. The thing that sucks is I need a cab and all the little stuff. Plus I need the 5 speed to put behind the 300 maxidyne the old man has waiting for the 66. It sucks but I basically need all the parts from a whole truck to make my dads a truck again. So if it's not this truck it will be another of the same shape.

  4. So I recently picked up a 70 r model for parts for my dads 66. The 237 that's in it ran two years ago. But they were pulling into a field and it quit running. The guy I bought it from said it did this about 10 years ago and it was the fuel pump gear broke. Is this a known thing? I would guess it's not and if it is indeed broken again either the pump is bad or possibly worn out timing gears/ out of time? Has any one had similar trouble? I'm just wondering what I can sort of expect and some ideas before I tear it apart, It seems to spin over fine by hand. With no binding. Any help is appreciated thank you. - Pete

  5. It has 20's on it. The truck I found has bud 24.5. May dad always wanted to swap his to the buds so he could put aluminum wheels on it. So I was planning on switching the hubs over from the daytons. ( I know the purists on here don't seem to like that.) also the truck I found has a 3 speed aux divorced from the maxitorque. Is it possible that one is geared just as low?

  6. Superdog I'm def not sure what the gears are. But I know with the 711 and the quad it will do 65 mph then he had a 250 Mack in it?(idk what that is I guess cause I couldn't find anything about a 250 in the 70's) When the 711 went out. With the 250 turning 2400rpm he said it would run 72mph. The 250 went out he put a 711 back in it.

  7. The 711 is in need of some help a rod cap came loose and it broke the block. And it's been a dream of his to swap it to a maxidyne since the 711 went down. The quad is loose the old man said it's got really close to 3mil on it and the last time it was apart the case hardening is wearing off the gears. So it needs some help also. Is it worth putting the maxidyne in with the quad behind it? I was just going to swap everything seeing I will have a complete doner truck
