  1. Guys, what are the GBA numbers on a mack truck, as I am down under in OZ but when I go to buy something online they always want to know the GBA.....I give them my VIN and Engine numbers but they still want the GBA.
  2. I have a 94 Superliner with a VMAC 454 that has thrown a bearing and done some damage...is it a big conversion to swap out 454 and upgrade to a 2003 470 ETEC or CCRS??

I have some confusion over the short list names given to certain years and models.....I have an E7 V mac being the 93 454 hp now the guys at Mack in Australia call it just the Vmac series 1 which I understand though looking for parts online it is also referred to as a PLN? what is a PLN an acronym for and what is a E Tech CCR ASET supposedly all E7 models or kits or what?
  5. Thanks guys and keep them coming I appreciate all of this......I think I will pull it from the truck and do it on a bench and send out the crank and check the piston and liners, its hard when no money and we are living in Australian outback 100 of miles from anywhere.
  6. Hi, Does anyone have a 1994 E7 454 workshop manual? I have spun a bearing on the conrod and the crank needs to come out to be reground.....questions are: Do I have to split the T2180 box which means taking out mount bolts all round? Does the radiator need to come out to remove the front harmonic balancer, and does this mean the timing gear has to be removed? Also I will have to line the timing before I remove anything, I wasn't going to remove the heads either? Anyway any feed back would be great especially if anyone has a manual. Thanks
  7. Hi, has anyone a PDF on how to remove slightly tapered king pins on a 1993 CL Elite? and since I have not removed them which way does the taper run?

Hi, I removed the splitter valve on top of the gearbox on my 18 speed and put a kit through it some time ago and now I have all the parts have put the E7 back together and the only sticking point is which pipes to where on the splitter. If someone would have the layout of piping or pics looking down on top that would be ideal. Thanks in advance
  9. Hi, guys on the same day as my last posting I went out and found a late model E7 book and trolled through it until I found rocker setup and went off it. After some priming she roared into life and hasn't missed a beat. But now the Electronic Malfunction light comes on and stays on? any guesses? It does nothing more then stay on but does not effect anything.

  11. Gday guys, I bought a 94 EA7 VMAC 4V 454 with a bent pushrod after being installed incorrectly. Now what I need to know is how to set the valve yoke and lash with a Jake brake attached as my book is for the factory Dynatard. Is it the same principle with setting the flywheel to TDC on compression on No 1 ( in/ex fully closed and No 5 on the rock) then turn the motor a full revolution to the next cylinder or do I go off the flywheel for the Yoke and only a full revolution for lash? Thanks
