  1. You can use the "INSERT OTHER MEDIA" button on the bottom right side of the post editor screen...just insert the URL of the Photobucket photo without the IMG tags or just simply drop the full Photobucket URL into the post with the img tags!

I guess what I meant is I miss the ability to preview a reply before posting it.

Yeah, they took preview out because the editor is now WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)  I have heard of other groups asking for previews to come back...maybe it will in a future update!

99% of the time, I use my phone to "connect"...easier than having to be home and sitting in front of the PC.  Used to be I'd click on my browser and a link to the page with threads I had posted in would be right there handy for me to check in on threads I had participated in with a second click.  Then, with one more click, I could scroll through the new content.

Maybe I'm just not smart enough to figure it out, because I ain't been able to get there with the new format.

You should try Tapatalk on your phone!  I love the' participated' button!

  5. Did you guys know that you can now upload profile cover photos kind of like Facebook?  It's easy, just click on your name>profile up top or in any post that you made and then click Cover Photo to upload a picture!  You can then move it around to fit the allowed space!  Click save and DONE!  Add a little custom touch to your profile!

  6. I'll look into it...it looked like both the garage and registry vehicles transferred over but maybe not!  The problem was that both systems were the same software and they got merged during the forum upgrade.  The easy way to see what is in your current garage is to go to your profile view and click on the Garage Tab.  If you don't have a vehicle in there, feel free to add it in!  This is how the software will stay.  I do apologize if anything was lost...sometimes these upgrades do not go smooth...especially when we waited so long to do it.

To get to your profile, click on your name at top right and then click profile.  You can also upload a profile cover photo while you are there!  It will fill in the gray rectangle on your profile page!  :thumb:

  7. Unfortunately I wasn't able to extract the registry categories when the garage and registry merged...it looks like all the vehicles are in the garage and searchable but they are not organized by model anymore like before.

I just added new categories to the Garage to make it a little more like a registry...I split the categories by year.  I will work on moving existing trucks around but members can move their trucks themselves by going to their garage listings and clicking MANAGE>MOVE and move to the proper category.

    Thanks, found.

I just thought that option would change the text background in posts. I'd like a bit lighter on Carbon.

Oh no...just the main screen background.

    What the paintbrush icon ??

On the Carbon and Shift themes, there is a small paint brush icon that you can click to change the forums colors or background images.

DEFINITELY try all the themes and color combos until you find what you like, it also changes the layout a little. I hated it also until I played with it a bit ;)

Yes, the other themes do have a little different layout but all the controls should be the same.

  11. I'm not sure how the new format is hard to navigate...it actually became a little more simplified from the old version.  There are now less buttons and links to navigate.  Someone with little computer experience can literally use the 'Unread Content link' and never have to get too advanced.  Advanced users will find a lot of cool features and adjustable content streams to fine tune what they are looking for.  BMT has something for everyone at every skill level.  I liked IPB software because it is scalable like that.

Give it a chance and in a few weeks it will be second nature for you!  :D  Try the different themes also!

  12. Hey guys...there has been a lot of chatter about threads not going to the first unread post when clicking on them...

According to Invision Power Boards, this should happen when you click on a thread from the forum index page.

If you are using UNREAD CONTENT or any ACTIVITY STREAM, click on the blue dot at the beginning of the thread title and it will take you to the first unread post!  See the pic below!

  13. I have the best luck using the UNREAD CONTENT link or the Activity button from up top.  With the activity button, you can fine tune how the threads and posts are sorted and handled.

It is different but you hit the nail on the head...if we would have gotten hacked on the old software, we would have had zero support due to the old software end of life!

They changed that too, when I click on the IE icon on the desktop, it says "Microsoft Edge" instead of Internet Explorer. I use Google Chrome all the time.

BMT didn't have anything to do with that!  Edge comes from Windows 10 update on your PC.
