That shit does make a guy sick, I bought a 82 cruiseliner awhile back for parts I got it home it runs and drives good needs it's share of work but couldn't bring myself to part it out so I kept it and bought new frame rails for my rs . One good thing about all this parting out crap going on is the trucks we all have and cherish will someday have a value that's crazy because there will be so few .

I know this May sound dumb but what is the purpose of the offset cab on a u and dm models? I have heard so many different things is it for better vision and the cab can sit farther ahead?

If you have good coolant filters and change them on a regular basis regular non pre charged antifreeze is fine . There is no need for precharged coolant in a system with coolant filters they are pre charged

What a damn shame who would do that?

The truck still works today it pulls a lowboy and a dozer it was a 73 as well. I don't think trucks of today we will we be able to say the same in 40 years from now

Thanks Jim ! I put my heart and soul into building that truck . It is nice to see people who know how much it takes to make a truck look like that. Now I have to get my rs 700 looking like that that's my next truck I'm going to do one for myself to enjoy !

The truck I am referring to with factory aluminum rails is not the one in the pic but a different truck we did. It had complete aluminum rails front to back . We changed them and put brand new complete steel rails in it one complete rail front to back. They were factory oem frame rails we ordered. They come pre drilled back to the fuel tanks and the rest were drilled by hand . The one in the picture originally had 1/4in steel rails in it .I put in two new oem steel rails in that truck 3/8in thick the truck is a rw600 the customer wanted the 700 rails installed in it that is what the one in the pics has in it
