When I have a problem that goes in and out at a certain speed I look to tire balance. Jack up front end of one side under axel, rotate tire and watch to see if there is a heavy spot which consistently ends up on the bottom. Mark the spot and put weight 180 from it. Then do the other side. While you have it up, put a can about 1/4 inch outside the tire and make sure as you rotate it that distance is close to the same all the way around. From your description I would look at balance.

Sometimes you have a favorite, don't know why. It is a driver not original, came out of Wash. State and was restored in the 70's 318 Chrysler, pushbutton transmission. Brought it to my house a few years ago and got it running, put crossmembere and new floor in bed, all new brakes. Was road testing it and some putty fell out of the fender. Had to fix that (quick) to go to a show. One of those things you really like but don't know why. Going to bring it home again soon and play.

A couple of flatness, the orange one came from the Ct. Museum. Brought it in a few years ago with the Emeryville. Full load and got a lot of people riding along side of trailer to take pictures. One fool almost hit the drop deck. The small one has a load on ceramic pigs in it, should have took a better picture.

You got it. Sometimes can use a chisel to start one off the shaft. I use the race off of the old one to put the new one on.

Nice trucks, rollback is sweet

You are right about the wheeling . We got along great, I worked on the brakes for him right after He bought it. Let me know if you are going to Winchester, if Suzie is feeling better we will probably drive up the LTH log truck or the 55 Diamond T tractor, everyone seemed to enjoy the Emeryville last year, enjoyed the show.

Mfg 46 to 50 in Pa. Most went to the Lend Lease program overseas after the war. Have a PTO, about the only thing I know about tractors is that if you are on them too long you get a sunburn. We have 2 or 3 hundred including a bunch of unrestored ones, and pulling tractors, but they just don't interest me. I love the trucks tho. Dave
