I don't know Chuck, it was painted ( really good quality paint) when we got it. The only thing we have done is decal, and I changed it from spokes on the steer to Budds.

Don't know the complete history. It pulled a tanker, we put logos on the trucks as opposed to just being plain. Not sure if it is period correct or not. Dave

Welcome

Next Fri. Sat. And Sun. In Rockville Va. On I-64 just east of Richmond, it is an annual festival of old trucks, tractors and farm equipment, logging, and a lot of steam equipment. They also have rides for the kids, tractor and truck pulls for the bigger kids. Lots of flea market stuff, and the truck and tractor dealers. Horse stuff too. If anyone is in the area, it is a great family day. If anyone needs info on it I will try to help. Dave

Thanks for the help. You were right. Shorter bolts, new idolaters and sleeves. The old pan had hit a speed bump. Can't figure why they would have a pan lower than the axel. Anyway no drips no leaks, no errors. (From the oil pan anyway lol)

Thanks for the help . Dave

I am putting a new oil pan on a series 60. The new pan looks like it would not use the spacers and would have to use shorter bolts. Hoping one of you Detroit guys could help me out. Maybe it is updated pan? Thanks for your help. Dave

Like your truck, I don't know if it works with all phones, but I found with mine that if I take the pictures with the volume adjust buttons facing down, then when I upload them they are correct . Hope that helps

probably going to have to paint wheels, hubs, mirror brackets, it had a fifth wheel on it at one time, so I don't know what it is going to be. If it has a bed it needs to be more narrow. Definitely want to get started on the wood interior.Looking good, Dave !!!!!!! glad to hear it is only taking a good cleaning and not needing paint.. What are you going to use on the red wheels and frame??

Kind of like the look. Don't know what the hobby will be in 50 years, can't imagine an auction with a " Barn Find Cascadia".

Everything Paul said, also the truck should have 30X30 chambers on it. Also check the service relay valve, some of the newer valves were designed to put out more air if the trailer valve is released. I don't know if it ever pulled a trailer or not, but if it has that type of valve it will have an extra line from the emergency relay valve or the quick release valve. You can check by blocking the trailer output and try driving with both tractor and trailer buttons released, if equipped with both. I use a fifth wheel tow unit a lot and have the problem you describe, if I don't do that.
