I don't blame you...lol...hopefully you had some time to update your facebook statusThanks for the replies. I've never seen one in any of the steel dash model years.
Yeah, but I was doing it safely. I had the cruise control set so there was no need to watch the road or hold the steering wheel.

Multi tasking was we?I was at work last night driving a Mack, listening to Fleetwood Mac, eating a Big Mac, and thinking of ways to reinvent Mac & Cheese, when for some unknown reason my thoughts turned to Mack trucks.
I think I got the model numbers right. I was wondering when the 10 &12 speed Maxitorques were first offered. I was thinking mid 70's but the ENDT866 had already been out for a few years. Were these trannies available then or was there another model to put behind the big 375hp Thermodyne?

I 2nd that....i can get just as much done with driving until i'm tired then pulling over rather than some of these new rules they are pushing on usYour only breaking the law IF you get cought. Drive the truck and pull over when tired. That's what I did for the 13 years I did otr. I think they should go back to 10 on 8 off and have something like a mandatory 3 day home period after 2 weeks out..but that's just me.

Hit the nail on the head for sure....thanks for sharing paul

Are they just trying to starve us to death here? Most trucking companies are either on electronic log or gonna probably have to go on electronic log "eventually", but with an e log and a goverened 55mph truck your barely gonna get 600 miles in an 11 hour period. That turns into getting at least 1 less load a week, and it's not like we are becoming rich out here anyway, but the point is that we all will be affected by this. Another thing is can you imagine going up I-81 with trucks cut back even slower than what they are now? I believe this would cause more accidents than anything with trucks cut back because of the 4 wheelers slamming into the back of a truck because they are running 70mph or faster and texting or whatever but this is just my opinion

You didn't bore me buddy, I lost my father in 2001 & wish everyday I had got to spend more time with him.....glad you got to take your father out and spend quality time with him before he passed, the little things like that are the best memories. Hope you had a good birthday buddy & have a good one
