  1. can anyone tell me whats the go when i release the maxi's the maxi brake dash valve leaks air.maybe it's a chamber leaking back through the hand valve?if its is do i just remove a air line from the spring brake side when there released an dcheck for air???help,thanks adrian

  2. Then with bad engine or cab mounts it can be worse. I have been know to get away from the throdle rod linage and go with a small push pull cable and it makes so much difference.The american bosch governor has a slip clutch that some times is too tight and will make them toughey.

  3. hi,drove my truck for the first time the other day its r600 237-15 speed road ranger on34-ratio4.64.gets along great after the chassis extension and tailshaft mods not a vibration its great,but when i take off or on coast and try to throttle on a little well dont know how to explain it starts to hop and load the drive line up.carnt tell if its a throttle problem or gear ratio problem.i more to think it a pump problem even when you try to rev up from idle its hard to get it to stay a certain revs or is this what 237 is like.?????help,thanks adrian :(:(

  4. Thank you. He did mention that also and wants the time to ensure it can happen. They deal with a lot of fleets from the area and have many casings ready for capping.

    hey rob ,dont forget to measure the outside diameter of the tyres and match up pairs,you may find a lot of difference in outside diameter of the re-caps so matching is a must.(p.s my dad ran re caps on the steer for years with no problem 1st up caps, good cases a must!)cheers adrian

Rob i have looked and looked some more and can not find the parts manual on those but i want to call it a rt610 but i cant say but i remember them now well but never was in one but i am sure it will be a direct drive and that shaft is a 1 3/4 pull type.I donot remenber a small 9 speed.I will look some more as i get clearance from my weak mine. I am over loading now when i try to remenber. Roadranger.com is supose to have the old parts books online but just did not find.

    hey rob and theakerstwo,just looking in some older books here in oz they used rt613 with the large chrome knob with deep reduction and you blokes would know that you can overdrive them by swaping the gears over in the box never done it but had truck dodge d5n with 653gm and rt610 with gears swapped for overdrive ,cheers adrian

  6. If it is out give me the # on the end of the input shaft and that will help some and the only other way would be is to have a rear yoke off and measure the size of the out put shaft. The real old fuller had the id tag on the top hi left rear and later years went to llower right at the back.

    I'M gathering bits and pieces for an 1976 model r686 with a 320 coolpower we are restoring here in AUS. IT is missing the shutters in front of the radiator and the trim around the opening in the bonnet. AT the moment it is wearing a bit of shade cloth to do the job.

    IS the verticle type shutter common to all the 70's R MODELS and fit staight on ? And what type of trim on the bonnet

    for this model?

    hey milo,try gleemans for both i know the trim pai do and the air ram to operate shutters,gleemans wrecking heaps of r-model at the moment,cheers adrian(newcastle n.s.w)

  8. can anyone tell me how the kysor alarm unit works,my unit has 4 wires on one side and one on the other,on the side with 4 wire top wire 12 volts,next is water level,next is 12 volts out to light and buzzer have 12 volts all the time????the 4 ?????on the side with 1 wire its got 2 green wire one sender rear water sender other maybe oil presure buts this terminal has 4.7 volts when key is on??????disconneted these wire and it 4.7 volts out of the alarm unit????????help please :wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko:

  10. thanks to all how have relpyed,havent had time to check anything yet but as soon as the rain stops(its a public holiday and it raining)i will check the senders,fullfuel01 do you have a picture of the controller unit???or anyone ,oz trucks may have it in a different place if know what it looks like that will help B) ,thanks again adrian

    hey the rain stopped got out there and found 3 senders in the water manifold the one on the top of the manifold has had the wire cut???when i earthed the other two senders the temp gauge did nothing???earthed the water level sender and no joy.any help????

  12. Yeah mate youve got it right. I went through the same thing with our F model. It wont fit on the outside. I just ran grease in the front hubs, and put silastic on both sides of the hubcap adaptor.

    hey skip needed you 2 weeks ago,but what i did was where the cut out for the drain is cut about 10 mm out andit fits,thanks again to all help,adrian
