Thanks once again for imput! I Think with the Allison Tranny and the 445C like REEL ADDICTION said should be fine! Plus I will probably save in cost of upgrade and in Fuel!

Ordering new Granite GU713 6 axel Tuesday and just wanted to know the pros and cons between the Two engines. Fuel, power, speed, weight, cost difference for bigger motor! It's 4th quarter and need to know which way to go!
-
I appreciate you guys input but I'm going to stay with Camelback! Thank for input! But I will get Hendrickson SCT13 lift axels! I hear that they are great!

Was looking at the Hendrickson Hn and the Hualmax! What are the cons about them? And what type of work you do?
-
Does drivers usually select this option or is it really not necessary?

Yes building a new Mack Granite GU713! I'm use to having power divider lockout! Over they got this truck spec with rear axel, Mack CRDP2021/CRD2031 with Mack INTERWHEEL POWER! Sales rep tried to explain but I don't quite understand! Could someone tell me the difference and in what Application would I use it! I will be doing mostly asphalt and aggregate but if things get slow I would do demo in slag ect. For the INTERWHEEL it's and additional $6790.

Yes building I new Truck can anyone please tell me the difference between these two Suspensions? All I've had was camelback! I'm building a new truck and would like to know the Pros and Cons! I do all kind work whatever pay the bill asphalt, dirt, gravel, demo, slag LMF. Now that I'm getting a new truck I'm trying to get away from the landfill but it times get ruff I will go? Anyways you guys advice will be greatly appreciated! Many Thanks!!!

Checked with Bibeau and the recommend I get Bibeau BFL-S for the type of primary work I do here in ohio. They said that the beds hold up well the floor is just a little thiner 3/16 opposed to 1/4 on the BMT model and it weights 1000 pounds less. The high lift gate will run $1,600 more for that option.

What is the difference between Power Divider lockout w/warning light and Buzzer (includes in cab manual valve) , and The Driver controlled inter wheel differential lock both RR axles, manual air valve w/warning light? Speccing out new truck and trying to get a better understanding on this! Also what condition or should I say jobs would the difference make! Someone please give me an example!

Sounds like the lift gate is the way to go! Does anyone have an idea of how much more for that function! Like I said I'll be doing mostly asphalt but as you guys know with a New Truck payment I Must have options if things get tight so I'll be will to do Demo, Dirt, concrete, salt, sand ect!!!!!! I live in ohio so to make decent money we mostly get 5 axels (3 tags axels)! This will be my first new Truck so my next move must be my best move! Last three years maintenance has been putting me in the whole with parts, labor, and down time! So I down sized kept one truck that will be my spare and I figured I'd get a new one with a warranty! Have a few purchase orders for blacktop this year so I said what the he'll Take the chance! I'm praying all goes well! Plus with a new truck if I need to leave state to find work I figured I'd have a trust worth truck!

Building a six axel and ordering a dump bed from Bibeau and trying to decide on BMT two way door regular and barn or an BMT two way door regular and high gate! I'm mostly doing asphalt but want to be set up to do anything! Please chime in with advise.

Thanks for the info Superdog but my question is there a big difference in the 4.34 & the 4.42? Just trying to understand this! The lower the gear the more crawling power right?
Be 1600rpm @ 65mph with 4.64's and 11R22.5's, 1500@65mph with 4.42's. I don't know what kind ofspeeds your planning on running but remember the lower the axle gears the better it'll do off road and on hills, keep the temps on the torque converter down too. If your dealer is waiting on you to make a gear choice I'd ponder on 4.42 or 4.64, 4.80 seems low and 4.19 seems high. I'd go with a 4.42 and 11R22.5 or low pro 24.5 tires if it was me, tall 24.5's are too freakin expensive now.
-
Ok that would be great super dog! This dump will be a six axel! I wanted power that's why I went with the MP8 but I also would like some speed! I'll be using it for asphalt, milling, aggregate, dirt, and demo if necessary! Many thanks for the help.

I spoke with the Mack rep and this is what he gave me to choose from. Rear-end ratio to maximize fuel economy / 3:94 1310 RPM’s @ 65 MPH, or 4:35 1400 @ 65 MPH (Recommended) what do you think? The granite has a MP8 445HP with an Allison 4500-RDS-6 front axel 20,000 rear axel 46,000. They say this is good for power and speed! So my Mack partners please feel free to chime in!

Take it to Mack and have them go through it!!! Trust me what you pay them you will be able to deduct from price because they always find something that needs to be done! But the main thing is to make sure that nothing Major is wrong! Also dont be scared of Going up in Money to find something nice, if its going to save you money in parts, labor and most of all DOWN TIME!!!!!!! I'll tell you when you get something from a 1 owner you most likely can get a maintenance record. And you still have to watch them. But when something has been run through the auction you really don't know what your getting. Take some good pics and post them! And let some of these guys go to work!
