very nice place top be , I've been there two times and it was great .

Edgar Browning, construction equipment expert, said it might be a Hanomag loader. I'd never even heard of Hanomag, but I did an image search and he may be right.
I was thinking a Zettlemeyr loader

I did not take it as an insult. I was just stating the "good old days" of "dreaming" are gone. You are right....shitholders. Oh, and let's not forget the EPA and the government/regs.
glad to know that I did not insult the community of engineers , yeah EPA sometimes are let says finniky .

I know where there is an old HD10 sitting in a field , would you be interested ?

too bad for Mack & Oshkosh but we can't win all contract .

Being a retired engineer it is my humble opinion the days of "dreaming" are gone. If a project does not have a "payback" or "commercial viability" it does not get worked on. If "management" does not approve a project, it gets put in the dumper. At most companies, there was a "skunk works" to do "what if" stuff. Now it is all about pleasing the "stakeholders/investors".
I had no intent to insult ingineers , but the lobby of oil is a tad bit to strong and many dreams are becoming nightmare because many decision takers are only shitholder oriented ! my 02 cents ,

a new problem occured
Mack RB688S
1990
E7-400
camel back 46K
multi-leaf shackle spring 18K
dump truck
the helper side tire is jerking up & down empty around 60 to 65 km(37 to 40 mph) and then get lot worst when loaded at around 70 km( 45 mph) . wheel seems to jump up & down tapping on the road . The steering is not jerking no feel of shimmy in the steering .
The truck stays straight does not feel like it is going to bring me in the ditch nothing wobbles.
what did I checked
1- tires are good (not broken not used abnormaly)
2- tires been balanced
3- tire from helper side went to driver side and vice versa ( same problem)
4- king pin been check and seems to have normal play
5- bearing been check seems good too
6- spoke wheel been checked seems good too
7- brake drum been checked seems good too
8- schock absorber been checked seems good too
9- tie rod end are sound
10- all spring leaf are ok no cracks not broken
11- all power steering rods and all others rods are sound
12-
one thing that I found is that the shackle seem to be very close ( 1/8 )(see attached pics with the red arrow) to the rear holder helper side ,
on the oposite side (driver ) it is aroud 3/4 of an inch of space , also there is a play in the front pin of the front
shackle .
some people are telling it can be drive shaft related ( wich I checked and accordind to my knowledge all the plays seems to be within normal) .
anyone had a similar problem ?

another good part of history . thank you for sharing

looks good so far keep going and keep the pics coming in please .

sorry for you Dad , I'm sure it is a very big loss to you. only three days off for that kind of loss is short .
on the other issue you state that the Hamm as a Deutz air cooled and it keeps tiking , that means those
engine are very tough.
For the Jr they are not the same breed as we are. thay might be bigger stronger better fed but will power is different.

Never use anything in the crankcase of a 2-cycle Detroit other then a stright oil (30 wt or 40 wt) or a maybe a 20 wt in temps below 15 deg! I use a product called Lucas Upper Cylinder Lub in all of my older trucks even my 1988 R-600 with a E-6 350 That FPPF is real good stuff also, esp. if you have water in your fuel tank, that stuff boils it right out

PS Lookin to retro my Lawn Boy with a V-6-53 for my 6AM Sunday morning lawn cuttttSS
