  1. depending on local and state laws the quick couplers could be a no no, unless you can find some with a d.o.t. approval ......

I know plumb stupid, but have been told that if it don't have a dot approval you could be in trouble if the right person sues you. you can do double glad hands and that's ok

I'm with you on the quick couplers and the law. I know on my lowboy, when you break the trailer apart, the airlines have a quick couplers that has a lock on it that has to line up to get them apart.

  2. I remember someone on this site was talking about scanning a V8 emblem and maybe making a decal the same size. Does anyone know who that was? Did they ever try? It might be a way to go until the right emblems are found. I've looked at some online that would be close but I would have to glue them on as I wouldn't want to drill more holes and I'm sure they wouldn't line up.

  3. Snub it off by putting it in high gear and let the clutch out while holding the brake.

When they run away, you can't get it into any gear. Had a friend loose a motor in an Rd a few years ago, could not get it into any gear. Ended up losing the motor. The only hope you have is to take away the air, block the air cleaner.

  4. post-147-0-01354300-1418765349_thumb.jpgThere was a company that took several T/A's (I think around 50) and modified them. They each had their own car number on the outside. Engines were tuned up in H/P. Special markings like lower front fenders graphics, seats, carpeting, and I think the gas cap door. If I remember right, they bought the rights to use the Bandit name. I had a 1981 Turbo T/A and I really loved that car. That is the only car I regret selling. It was not a Bandit but it was black with the gold interior, gold bird on the hood. You are correct on the chevy motor for the bridge jump. They needed more h/p to make the car get enough speed to make the jump.
